Ex: Wrong: Heidi called Kyle to ask Kyle if Kyle could meet Heidi at the park. (This sentence doesn't make sense - no pronouns.)

Ex: Correct: Heidi called Kyle to ask him if he could meet her at the park. (Substitutes the pronouns him and he for Kyle, and her for Heidi.)

COMPOUND PREFIX

• Two or more prefixes at the beginning of a word.

• Ex.- Unrelenting

SUFFIX• A word part placed at the end of a word

that affects the word’s meaning or is a part of speech.

• Ex.- able• Word= Lovable• Inflectional suffixes: s, es,’s, s’, ed, en,

COMPOUND SUFFIXES• Two or more suffixes at the end of a

beginning, middle, or end of a word.

• It can be the whole word.
