Event Support OpportunityWe understand that many of our local businesses support groups, individuals and other events in our community and have limited resources themselves. We hope to provide an opportunity for all businesses and services providers to be involved in our events and therefore welcome your support in a variety of ways:

activities (free or discounted) to entertain event visitors; advertising (free) to assist with the promotion of the event; distribution of flyers and posters promoting the event; cash to assist with the fixed costs associated with running the event; vouchers to be utilised for promotional prizes; goods or services which will reduce the cost of running the event; volunteer time to assist with running the event on the day; and volunteer time to assist with set up of the event in the lead up to the day.

Event Involvement BenefitsIn return for your involvement you will receive a package of agreed benefits. The potential benefits to your business include enhancing your business/group image as a community supporter and raising awareness of your products and/or services. The different packages are listed below.

Event Partner Donators of cash, goods or services valued at over $5,000 plus GST (per/for a single event) will receive, at the very least;

Their logo included in all suitable promotions; An image hyperlink (web link with your logo and a 25 word description) from our Event Listing / Facebook

event; Acknowledgement in media releases and radio interviews; The opportunity to place freestanding and/or banner signage at the event (to be supplied by Event

Partner); Brochure (to be supplied by Event Partner) available from the Shire Information Tent; and A social media “shout out”.

Event Sponsor Donators of cash, goods or services valued from $500 up to $4,999 plus GST will receive, at the very least;

Their name included in printed promotions; A text hyperlink (web link with your business name and a 25 word description) from the Event Listing /

Facebook event; Acknowledgement in media releases; The opportunity to place banner signage at the event (to be supplied by Event Sponsor); and A social media “shout out”.

Event Supporter Donators of cash, goods or services valued from $50 up to $499 plus GST will receive, at the very least;

A social media ‘shout out’; A text hyperlink (web link with your business name) from the Event Listing / Facebook Event; and Promotion, where appropriate and possible, during the lead-up to the event.

School Holiday Activities -April / July / October

Provision of services

The Shire of Chittering assists with the planning and facilitation of school holiday activities for children 0-15 during the April, July, and October school holidays. Activities vary each term. Assistance is required with the provision of services for these activities. Community Groups or Businesses may like to run the activity or provide services on the day. Annual family event designed to encourage children to be active in the outdoors. The event is focused on providing unstructured play and showcasing ways parents can keep their children active throughout the year. Wear Ya Wellies had 4,500 visitors in 2017 with over 80% coming from the metropolitan area. It provides an opportunity for businesses, service providers, and community groups to showcase their services to families from Chittering, its surrounding communities and the metropolitan area. Assistance is required with the provision of infrastructure, services, entertainment and activities on the day, as well as promotion in the lead up to the event. The event attracts approximately 5,000 visitors and includes market stalls, free activities, music, entertainment and food.Assistance is required with the provision of infrastructure, services, entertainment, and activities on the day, as well as promotion in the lead up to the event.PLEASE NOTE: Due to parking requirements, Taste of Chittering will no longer be held at the Lower Chittering Hall.
