Most Singer-Songwriters tend to have some sort of pattern on their album cover or they use them to fade into other parts on their videos.

They tend to either have long sweeping hair and a scruffy beard. If not the hair is styled and presentable, with a little bit of stubble.

They mainly use acoustic guitars as their instruments and during the video they will have a close up of them playing it from a side angle, which then zooms out into them singing.

The location of the music video tends to be of the artist and someone of the opposite sex walking through a romantic setting, like a country lane or spring forest setting. Then when it shows a close up of the artist playing the guitar, it is normally either in a cottage next to a fire or in a music studio/room.
