PROGRESSION:– All green boxes - to be eligible to progress to the Transition Year a

student must pass each domain independently (for the doctor as a scholar and scientist domain students must pass both elements separately)

RESIT OR REPEAT: – One or more orange boxes - if a student is awarded a grade of cause

for concern they may elect to repeat the year as second attempt or they may opt to enter the resit examination(s)/assessment(s)

REPEAT YEAR: – One or more red boxes - if a student is awarded a grade of

unacceptable they are required to repeat the year, they are not permitted to enter the resit examination(s)/assessment (s)

DISCRETIONARY PANEL:– Students who elect to enter the resit examination(s)/assessment(s) and

do not achieve an acceptable grade(s) will be required to apply to the discretionary panel for a third and final attempt (if approved this will entail a repeat year). Students are only permitted to apply to the discretionary panel ONCE during their programme.
