PURPOSE, GOALS & OUTCOMES OF THE PROGRAM The D.Min. program is designed to enhance the practice of ministry for persons who hold the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or its educational equivalent, and who have engaged in substantial ministerial leadership. The goals of the program include but not limited to an advanced understanding of the nature and purpose of ministry; development of self awareness and dynamic pastoral identity; enhanced competencies in pastoral analysis and ministerial skills, the integration of these dimensions into the theologically reflective practice of ministry; to advance an expertise in a specialized area of ministry, i.e., pastoral counseling and clinical supervision; gain new knowledge and insight about the practice of ministry; continued growth in emotional and spiritual maturity; and development and appropriation of a personal and professional ethic of ministerial practice in any setting of helping relationship. The learning outcomes of the program include but not limited to an advanced competency in the practice of ministry, provide evidence of being informed by analytical and practical research, and show the integrations of enhanced knowledge in self-awareness, growth in one’s theological and ministerial capacity, emotional development, and spiritual maturity. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Prerequisites necessary for admission to this program include: 1. Completion of a master’s degree in theology (normally an M.Div. degree) from CHED- recognized institutions, seminary or divinity school (or its equivalent) 2. Documentation that the candidate had completed CPE units in the M.Div. program and had undergone supervised training at an accredited institution. 3. Ecclesiastical/Faith Group endorsement to function in this type of ministry. A. For graduates of other schools 1. Honorable dismissal from last school attended 2. Photocopy of latest Transcript of Records 3. Recommendation from a school administrator or faculty 4. Accomplished application form (copies can be secured from the Dean’s Office) 5. One by one ID picture 6. Long size white folder B. For graduate of CPU 1. Photocopy of latest Transcript of Records 2. Accomplished application Form (copies can be secured from the Dean’s Office) 3. One by one ID picture 4. Long size white folder C. For married female applicants whose records still bear their maiden name 1.
