Also, servers are indexed once every 24 hours where as activities, alerts, or events areindexed as they are processed. If a new server is not listed, the system does not reportthe activities, alerts, or events until the server is indexed.
NetWorker Activities start and end times are ahead by one hour
49268NetWorker policy based backup activities start and end times are one hour ahead of theactual time.
The times are incorrect after a DST to standard, or standard to DST switch if theNetWorker server is not restarted.
This also causes a one hour time difference between the overall group lastStart andlastEnd times and the individual resulting start and end times.
Networker backups that complete within 10 seconds are not displayed on theBackup & Recovery Manager server
48187Backups that last for a duration of less than 10 seconds can be missed and not displayedon the Backup & Recovery Manager server.
MCGUI and Backup & Recovery Manager report differently on Avamar VM imagebackups
47108
Backup & Recovery Manager displays the amount of data that has changed since the lastbackup, and the amount of new data. This is not equivalent to the New Bytes displayed inMCGUI, which is Data, Changed x New = New Bytes.
The Backup & Recovery Manager displays an actual representation of the percentage ofdeduplicated data.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 is slow to respond under heavy loads
45599
When the Backup & Recovery Manager is under heavy backup activity loads, the InternetExplorer 8 browser can cause the following performance issues:
u Switching between Backup & Recovery Manager sections can take a long time andthe browser can appear as though it is failing to respond
u Pop-up alerts can cause a ghost effect
u Large reports are slow to generate chartsThese issues are caused by the JavaScript rendering engine included in InternetExplorer 8. The charting issue is the result of the way in which Internet Explorer 8supports SVG. The Backup & Recovery Manager uses SVG for generating charts.
Workaround
To work around these issues, update to Internet Explorer 9+, or use a different browser forthe Backup & Recovery Manager.

The backup and replication duration can be incorrect by one minute
45191
There is a slight rounding issue when comparing the backup or replication duration of a
group versus individual clients. This can result in an incorrect backup duration by oneminute.
Daylight Saving Time causes incorrect backup and replication activities duration
45062
Backup and replication duration might be incorrect by one hour if the activity occursduring the change to, or change from Daylight Saving Time.
Unable to view the Backup or Replication tab while viewing search results
44015
After browsing the search results for one of the following Activities results choices:u view backups...
u view replications...Clicking the results for the other choice appear blank.

The NetWorker adaptor for Windows installer displays strange characters in the path
43782
The NetWorker adaptor installer inserts [...]ker and / for the path in the setup screens forlong path names. The [...]ker characters represent NetWorker, and / should be \. Thisoccurs because the field is set to accept a fixed number of characters. Despite thestrange characters, the installation uses the correct path.

Changing the keyboard language
The Linux console on the VMware vSphere client uses a qwerty (US English) keyboardlayout, and many non-English languages use the azerty keyboard layout.
The /etc/vconsole.conf file configures the virtual console, including keyboard mapping.
Set the KEYMAP variable in the /etc/vconsole.conf file to the required language to changethe keyboard layout.
NOTICE
Lists of the specific language codes are available online.
For example:
KEYMAP=us (qwerty for the US English keyboard layout)
KEYMAP=be-latin1 (azerty for the Belgian language keyboard layout)
The kernel command line can also be used to override keyboard settings at boot. For
example:
vconsole.keymap=de-latin1 (azerty for the German language keyboard layout)
NOTICE
Depending on the operating system, other configuration files might be checked for
configuration of the virtual console as well. Check the specific operating system
documentation for details.
