Hardware Panel

• RJ-45 (Port A and B): This is the first full featured 10/100/1000BASE-T port for Ethernet transmit and receive.

• SFP (Port A and Port B). This port is used to connect the tester to the network through an optical interface with the help of an SFP module.

Operation• IPNetSim™ Handheld is inserted between two Ethernet segments in pass through mode while

operating in bidirectional packet transfer mode.

• The emulation settings can be defined independently for 16 separate flows that can be filtered by

several criteria including MAC, IP, TCP/UDP or User Mask.

Enabling and Disabling Filters

• Equipped with 15 filters plus one special filter for background traffic (BG filter)

• Each filter has a priority number

• If one frame is selected by an specific filter it will not be processed by any lower priority filters
