Typical Applications
4*2 Switch Matrix for 0.2 -3.0 GHz Applications: Cellular Systems DBS LNB
CATV General Description The A7532 is a low-cost 4 x 2 switch matrix in a 20-lead QFN package for use in RF multiplexing applications from 200 to 3000 MHz. A positive voltage controlled 4 bit decoder is integrated on the switch. The switch may be used in 50/75 ohm systems.
Both switch outputs (OP1 & OP2) can independently select any of the four inputs (HH, HL, VH, VL) or simultaneously select the same inputs. Note that the switch is bi-directional and input/output functionality may be interchanged.

DC detector:
For some applications, the performance of switch (isolation and insertion loss) might be changed when output load (cable or amplifier) was changed. For example, in a twin output switch box, the output cable of OP1 path was removed. The output impedance of OP1 and OP2 was different. This might induce some extra reflection in signal path and then degrade the switch performance. This effect will be more significant when the output layout path is long. With this DC detector function, when the DC1 connect logic “0”. All paths from input ports to OP1 would be blocked. Other paths (to OP2) work normally. Similarly, when DC2 connect logic “0”. All paths from input ports to OP2 would be blocked. Other paths (to OP1) work normally. For some applications, which were not sensitive to this effect (output port load change), just connect DC1, DC2 to VDD. Logic level of DC1, DC2 Min Max Unit Logic “0” 0 1 V Logic “1” 3 VDD V
