Why RegTech matters
The objective of the SIRG is to contribute to the understanding and resolution of APRA’s and industry’s challenges for implementation of and transition to the new DCS. A secondary objective of the SIRG is to consider and advise APRA on how data collections should evolve in the future. The SIRG a two-way advisory forum to guide and resolve strategic issues identified and arising throughout the implementation of the new Data Collection Solution (DCS). It does this by: facilitating discussions in an open and fair exchange; enabling fair representation of the impacts the DCS will have on the whole of industry; addressing strategic issues relating to the implementation of the DCS; and providing a
discussion forum for considering the future/long term evolution in regulatory reporting and data sharing.
