satisfaction,betweenbachelorandpost-bachelordegreeholders.
Itisinterestingtonotethatalbeitsmall,thereisa
largerdifferenceinjobsatisfactionmeansbetweenbachelorandpost-bachelordegreeholderthaninpay
satisfactionmeans.
Anotherinterestingthingtonoteisthatthelargestdifferenceinmeansliesinpaysatisfactionbetweenthe
non-collegeandcollegeeducated.Interestingly,thedifferenceinpaysatisfactionmeansbetweenbachelorandpost-bachelordegreeholdersisthesmallestoneof
theset.

Theobjectiveofthisanalysiswaspurelydescriptive;thefirststeptounderstandtheimpactofpost-graduateeducationon
federalemployee’ssatisfactionrates.
Ausefulnextstepwouldbetocreateamodelthatpredictssatisfactionbasedoneducationandothervariables,analyzing
theimpactinbothjobandpayacrossagencies.SuchmodelwouldprobablybeconstructedusingaLogisticRegression
analysis.
Finally,itwouldbeinterestingtoexploreaprescriptivemodelthatassesswhetheranemployeeshouldgetapostgraduate
degreebasedontheagencyheorsheworksat.
Theinsightsderivedfromthisresearchcouldbeusefultodeterminewhetherapost-graduatedegreeshouldbepursued
byafederalemployee.
