CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.

Doily BlockCut squares 8½” x 8½” in the corresponding number from the following assorted prints: 3–blue gingham, 1–blue doily, 1–gray doily 2–blue daisy, 1–gray daisy, 8–clean white solidCut doily templates with seam allowance in the corresponding number from the following assorted prints: 12–yellow main, 8–blue doily, 4–gray doily, 8–blue stripe 4–blue daisy, 8–gray daisy, 8–gray words, 8–blue gingham 4–gray ginghamCut 4 center circles from yellow stitches. Add ¼” seam allowance, if necessary, for your favorite method of appliqué.

Border 1Cut 4 strips 3½” x WOF from blue stripe

Border 2Cut 5 strips 6½” x WOF from yellow main

Border 3Cut 6 strips 4½” x WOF from blue gingham

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of blocks.

Doily BlockRefer to the quilt photo for fabric placement. Sew 2 assorted print 8½” squares and 2 clean white solid 8½” squares together to create a four-patch background for the Doily Block. Repeat to make 4 backgrounds.

Refer to quilt photo for placement of doily template pieces. Sew the sides of the template pieces together to create the doily. Lay right side of doily on bumpy side of fusible interfacing. Stitch ¼” around the outside edge, pivoting at the seams and points. Trim seam allowance and turn inside out. Center the doily on the four-patch background and appliqué the doily and center circle using your favorite appliqué method. Repeat to make 4 Doily Blocks.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to quilt photo for placement of blocks. Lay out blocks in 2 rows of 2 blocks. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 32½”. Top and bottom borders should be 38½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 38½”. Top and bottom borders should be 50½”.

Border 3Side borders should be 50½”. Top and bottom borders should be 58½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Polka Dot Stitches Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
