Welcome to Dom’s Cocktail Lounge, at the apex of the Panthers establishment, and

modelled after the private bar and lounge of Johnny Torrio in 1922.

Dom’s provides an escape to relax and enjoy live music and handcrafted cocktails.

In 1922 America was in the midst of prohibition and massive social change.

Johnny is recognized as the man who kept Chicago dancing, drinking, and sinning as

he operated the city ’s distilleries, speakeasies, gambling houses, and brothels. Johnny

kept the bartenders pouring, the entertainers performing, and the men and women

dancing during a time that the music had all but died and the hooch had dried up.

Johnnie headed the Italian Mafia and he made sure his understudy, Al Capone, kept

a tight grip on the flow of money and alcohol throughout Chicago. In order to keep

an eye out over his money, he built speakeasies on the top of his gambling houses to

keep a watchful eye out while enjoying some fine aged spirits and cocktails.

Inspired by his love of peach tea and agave spirits, mixmaster James Gillespie
