DDBHSSK is a Christian Minority Unaided Educational Institution run by the Salesians of Don Bosco, a congregation founded by the great educator of Youth, Don Bosco. The method
of education followed in the school is the method taught and practised by Don Bosco, viz. based on the fear of God, on conviction, on prevention of faults and paternal correction. The school caters primarily to the members of the Catholic community. Provision is also made for the admission of non-Catholic boys and girls. The medium of instruction and communication in the school will always be English. The School is recognized by the Nagaland Board of School Education(NBSE) Kohima (Cfr: NBSE RR 3002/95) and prepares the boys and girls for the HSLC and HSSLC examination.
AIM of the institution
The aim of the institution is to provide a sound education by cultivating in the pupils’, habits of piety, virtue, self reliance and discipline, while they go through their studies. Hence particular
attention is given to discipline and character formation by means of religious and moral instructions. The school encourages students, participation in school activities by means of organisations, like house system; clubs etc... which aims at fostering the genuine interests of the students in the sphere of the intellectual, cultural, social and other curricular activities for the complete formation of the student.
The Scheme and subject of studies for class 11 & 12 shall be as prescribed by the NBSE
CHANGE OF STREAM Change of stream shall be allowed from Science to Art only provided the student apply to the Secretary, NBSE through the Principal, six month before the examination.

ONLINE ADMISSION PROCEDURE
A simple two steps process STEP 1: Read the DBHSSK prospectus 2020-2021 displayed in the
school website (http://www.donboscokohima.com).STEP 2: Download the online application form from the Online
Admission and follow the instructions given in it.
If you need any help call the following teachers in charge of admission
FEES All students irrespective of admission date shall pay 12 (Twelve)
months tuition fees at the rate of `1000/-per month. All the tuition fees can be paid in three instalments.
IMPORTANT NOTE1. Only the successful students of the current year HSLC examination will be admitted in class 11.2. Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 45 marks in external for Mathematics and
Science subjects in the HSLC examination may apply for admission for class 11 Science in DBHSS Kohima.
3. Only those candidates who have secured a minimum of 50 marks in External for Social Sciences and English subjects in the HSLC Examination may apply for Class 11 Arts in DBHSS Kohima.
4. Online spot admission will be given to students who secured 55 and above marks in the external for HSLC Examination 2020.
5. Students who are not successful in class 11 promotion examination will forfeit their stay in DBHSS Kohima.
6. No candidate will be admitted in class 12.7. After Admission/ Readmission fee won’t be returned. Fees once paid are not refunded.8. Preference is given for Catholic students at the time of admission.

• Dress is not about what is handy to wear as boys and girls but influential to wear as Bosconians. Hence, students are requested to wear set dress code.
• BOYS: Black Trousers, White Shirt, Black Shoes and Black Socks, Black Blazer and Black Tie.
• GIRLS: Black Trouser, White Shirt, Black Shoes and Black Socks, Black Blazer, Black Tie.
• On Wednesdays : Black Trousers and School T Shirt.• (The School Uniform is compulsory on all working days)
• Bleaching and colouring of hair is strictly prohibited for both boys and girls. Only black-dye may be used if and when circumstances demand.
• Inappropriate short hair is strictly prohibited for girls.• Shaved haircut, bald cut (brush-cut over the ears) bald head-cut and growing long
hair are strictly prohibited for boys.• Spiked hair dress and fancy hair styles of any kind are strictly prohibited.• No students shall keep his/her hair in any manner which can make the hair look
unusual or over stylish than the normal student look.• Applying of hair-gel of any kind (super hard, water gloss, wet look etc.) and over-oiling
of hair is not allowed, while it should not be too dry either.• Tattoos of all kinds are strictly NOT allowed.
