Since bread was industrialised it’s no coincidence that a lot

of us can no longer enjoy bread without our bodies

Spelt is a very nutritious, ancient grain with big flavour and a much lower level of gluten than modern wheat. Made with its own Spelt sourdough “mother”, 80% organic wholemeal spelt, 20% organic white spelt and 40 hour fermented for maximum digestibility.

Our new loaf made from ancient grains. A blend of Einkorn, Khorasan and Spelt this loaf is 70% wholegrain and 30% white and contains no modern wheat. Flavoured with Quinoa and Sesame seeds this loaf has a rolled spelt flake crust.

A big menu change this month; we’re excited to introduce our new range of

Tartines along with a host of other little tweaks.

The Tartines are here!

Open toasted sandwiches with Summery toppings; our new Tartine range

has 9 varieties including tweaked versions of our popular Avocado Tartines,

which are now available throughout the day, not just at breakfast.

New Breakfast Tartines

A revamp of our existing Breakfast Tartines and 2 new lovelies. The first new

arrival is Almond Butter, Banana & Desiccated Coconut on Chia & Flax, and

the other Cream Cheese, Berries & Pecans on Chia & Flax.

New Toasties

More toastie new: we have 2 new and 1 revamped this month. We’ve finally

managed to source free-range Norfolk Turkey to create our new Turkey &

Avocado Toastie. On the vegan front we have 2 new toasties: Pesto

Butternut (with red pepper and vegan green pesto) and we’ve revamped our

Vegan Breakfast, which now features baked rosemary sausages and

wholegrain mustard mayo.

New Supergrain Sourdough

Our new “Supergrain Sourdough” loaf is made from a blend of the oldest

grains; Einkorn, Khorasan and Spelt for low gluten, high nutrition and big

flavour. We then ramp up the nutrition and flavour even more by adding

Quinoa and Sesame seeds and top it with rolled Spelt Flakes. Darker than

our Chia & Flax sourdough, but lighter than our Spelt, this medium-dark

seeded sourdough more than deserves a place on our bread table.

New Lemon Raspberry Ripple Cake

A new Summery cake with fresh lemons and raspberries rippled through the

mixture and topped with tangy, sharp and sweet icing. Fresh.

New Emily’s fresh mint tea

Emily has been finalising her own polytunnel for a few months and we’re now

starting to see the fruits (and veg) of her labour. The first step is an amazing

fresh mint tea made purely from fresh mint leaves grown & picked by Emily.

Small is beautiful

We are a tiny, independent bakery established in 2007 near Cardiff with the

purpose of making natural, organic food without the pretentious preaching.

Back in 2015, we decided to choose Norwich as the home for our new

bakery after we visited the city and fell in love with its thriving independent

food scene. Love, Mike & Natalie.
