/ Meeting the donor– our impressionDonor Wallace’s heart is in the right place. He is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with phys-ical and psychological difficulties. That is why he decided to become a teacher. His goal is to work at a special school for children with disabilities and unique challenges.

Wallace already has quite a deal of experience in this area as he has worked as a substitute and assistant teacher at some special schools. During his gap year, he also worked with children as an au pair in Pennsylvania, USA.

In addition to this, he looks after a mentally disabled boy as a relief for the boy’s parents. He goes on trips with the boy and gives him good experiences. Him and the boy have a very close bond.

Wallace speaks with warmth about how fulfilling it is to be able to help and bring joy to children who don’t necessarily have an easy life. He also likes the challenges he comes across with children who have difficulties. He is good at seeing tapered situations from different perspectives, also the child’s, and he does not let himself be provoked.

Wallace is calmness in itself and it is clear that he has a lot of patience. You immediately feel comfortable in his presence, and we are sure that Wallace is the type of person that all children love.

Wallace says that he loved attending school as a child and that he, as a teacher, wants to pass that joy on to other children. He dreams about making a difference, if not for many children, then just for a single child. We know Wallace will be a fantastic teacher.

Wallace spends a big part of his free-time with his friends. He is very popular in his friend group. As a friend he is attentive and quickly notices if someone isn’t feeling well. He is also quite curious by nature and wants to hear all the details. He says, with a big smile, that he gets that quality from his mum.

He plays, amongst other things, Dungeons & Dragons with his friends. They are busy with a round of the game that has lasted over half a year. They meet up a few times a month to eat together, chat, play and have a good time.

Wallace puts a lot of energy into being in the moment and close in social relationships. This means that he also loves having days for himself where he can mentally recharge. Just being by himself and in his own company means a lot to him.

When Wallace recharges at home, he is not completely alone. He has a sweet cat that he loves very much. He had actually not considered himself to be an animal lover before he got his cat, but now he says it has become his very best friend. Wallace also has a shared dog with his ex-partner. He takes care of the dog every now and then.

Wallace says that he has exceptional health. His immune system must be unusually good because he is never sick. He claims that he has inherited his good health from his dad, who has only had approximately 7 sick days in his entire work career.

The decision to become a donor is extremely well-consid-ered. Wallace has a friend who has two donor children, and he has seen how much joy it has brought into the life of this family. Wallace wants to be able to bring joy to others and make the world a better place. Before Wallace applied, he talked thoroughly about it with his mum. His mum is proud of her son’s decision to become a donor and of the huge contribution he is providing for others.

Wallace’s appearance radiates friendliness and openness. He has friendly, dark green eyes that narrow a bit when he smiles or laughs, which he does very often.

His facial form is oval, and his face is framed by a thick, well-trimmed beard that, together with the defined eye-brows gives him character. Wallace’s body build appears very manly with strong arms and hands and a defined chest. He is muscularly built with strong bones.

Describe your personalityI am a very calm and collected person. At first I will be shy and careful, but later I open up com-pletely to the people I trust. I am a very attentive person and I like to know what is going on at all times

Describe your weaknessesI can give up on tasks that I very well could have succeeded in. I sometimes tend to not believe in myself (This has gotten a lot better over the past few years)

Describe your strengthsI am a very patient person which is also an impor-tant part of my dream job. I often think I am able to be the bigger person and see situations from both perspectives. This is also a good quality to have for working with children in the future

Describe your fondest childhood memory Being the first in the class to be able to multiply, I remember this day as it was yesterday. (2nd grade)

Describe some of your best experiences The countless hours I’ve spent showing my mother what I’ve made. The list goes on but here are some examples: LEGO, drawings, completing Nintendo games.
