Bill Hamon states in his book: “…The ministries of apostles and prophets are foundational to the building of Christ's Church (Ephesians 2:20-22). They are a direct extension of the “Cornerstone,” Jesus, to give alignment and proper structure to God's building, the Church. So any local church which is established without an apostle or prophet ministry will not have a proper foundation.” (Prophets in Today's Church, Adapted from Prophets and Personal Prophecy, By Dr. Bill Hamon.)

Mormon Church - “We solemnly affirm that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is in fact a restoration of the Church established by the Son of God...that it is built upon a foundation of apostles and prophets, who are an extension of the foundational Cornerstone, Jesus ... was restored under the hands of those who held it anciently....” (Proclamation to the World, the First Presidency, 1980)

Let’s condense in order to focus the above two statements here;

Hamon – “the ministries of apostles and prophets are foundational to the building of Christ’s Church… a direct extension of the “Cornerstone,” Jesus to give alignment… to God’s building.

Mormon – “it is built upon a foundation of apostles and prophets, who are an extension of the foundational Cornerstone, Jesus…

Both statements contradict Apostle Paul’s teaching that “no other foundation can be laid…”

Bill Hamon explains the “1980’s had a prophetic movement. 1990’s apostolic movement. And now in the year 2000 we’re trying to establish the prophet and apostolic around the world.”  This will bring about the many membered prophetic movement.

Hamon says of C. Peter Wagner “… Peter Wagner and several other ministers in the United States are saying we won’t recognize the 21st Century Church compared to what we are today. Amen? The last day apostles and prophets that are alive today are going to take the Church through the transition from the dispensation of grace to the dispensation of the Kingdom, from the dispensation of the mortal Church to the dispensation of the immortal Church” (Transcript of Bill Hamon at ‘New Life Church’ Nov.13, 1997, entitled “Battle of The Brides”)

At the “International Gathering of Apostles and Prophets” in October 1999 Hamon ... “We are seeing prophets and apostles coming forth for a strategic reason. ….We are being positioned to lay new foundations of a rhema for a new era all together, a foundation for the dawning of the new kingdom age.”

“We are preparing to move into the age of Kingdom rule and dominion where Christ Himself, and we His saints, with Him, will rule and reign IN THE EARTH. …So God is raising up apostles and prophets who are speaking some new and radical things; are setting the stage; are laying a whole new foundation of the Church for a new era. Not just patching up the Church foundation already existing, but preparing the church for a new dispensation! … We are about to move from the dispensation of grace to the dispensation of dominion.

Again, let’s condense and focus on a statement above:

Hamon – “God is raising up apostles and prophets who are speaking some new and radical things… laying a whole new foundation of the Church for a new era. Not just patching up the

Church foundation already existing, but preparing the church… to move from the dispensation of grace to the dispensation of dominion.”

(According to scripture, the foundation of God, laid by the OT Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself, and NT Apostles, needs no patching up… nor does it need a new foundation laid other than the one laid by Jesus, the OT Prophets and the NT Apostles. - 2Ti 2:18-19 KJV “Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. (19) Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure.”

Not unlike Hymenaeus, Alexander and Philetus, Hamon, Wagner, and the other leaders of the Apostles and Prophets Movement, believe in a totally different view of the end of this age, with no rapture, no Great Tribulation, and no antichrist (as you will read – they will defeat him for Jesus, sparing the earth of his horrendous reign and mark, 666) ministers who had gotten off into err, denying the rapture. Still, Paul emphatically declares that no matter what untruths the Church lets in, “the foundation of God stands sure.” Not what Hamon’s group believes… it is beyond “patching up,” and therefore needs the “laying of a new foundation.”

Bill Hamon explains this teaching in his book Apostles, Prophets and the Coming Moves of God (foreword by C. Peter Wagner). “These manifested sons of God will emerge ‘in one generation’ displaying all kinds of “signs, wonders and miracles” (Apostles, Prophets, p 11,13)

What the scriptures declare about the “manifested sons of God” –

Rom 8:23 AMP “Rom 8:19, 23 “ For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the [Holy] Spirit [a foretaste of the blissful things to come] groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies [from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal] our adoption (our manifestation as God's sons.”

When does this take place? Hamon will go on to say, “When unity has come to the Church under the Apostles and Prophets “alignment.” At the point of perfect unity, we will go from the “mortal Church” to the “immortal Church,” and our bodies will be transformed.

Keep in mind that Hamon’s group do not see this occurring at a “great resurrection and catching away to Heaven of the Church.” But what do the scriptures say?

Php 3:21 KJV Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1Co 15:51-53 AMP Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed) (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed). (53) For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death).

1Th 4:15-17 AMP For this we declare to you by the Lord's [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any

2

advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him in death]. (16) For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first. (17) Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

Later in this document, of this scriptural event Hamon says, ”The Rapture teaching is one of the most faith deadening teachings ever preached. It has the most neutralizing affect on a Christian's aggressive growth process.”

Hamon: “The company of prophets will help restore the apostles back into their rightful place in the church. The full restoration of apostles and prophets back into the church will bring divine order, unity, purity, and maturity to the corporate Body of Christ.” (Prophets and Personal Prophecy, God’s Prophetic Voice Today” p. 53 by Bishop Bill Hamon, Destiny Image Press, 1987).

Bill Hamon describes: “We developed a manual for ministering spiritual gifts to teach, train, activate, mentor and mature and now we have trained over thirty eight thousand individuals in six continents of the world, nine thousand leaders and over a thousand prophets and prophetic ministers have been raised up and are now prophesying and flowing like a river…. Now, you see I could take this group right here and take trainers and in one week I could every one of you flowing like a river in the prophetic. We’ve done it with thousands” (National School of The Prophets Mobilizing The Prophetic Office Bill Hamon 5/12/00).

The error of this teaching is that it is beyond the “bounds of the New Testament scriptures.” The idea that “one who has the gift of prophecy is in control of when, where and how they prophesy is absurd. No individual believer is given “the gift of prophecy,” nor can individuals prophesy at will. The gift of prophecy, found in 1Co 12:8-10 comes in a momentary manifestation of the Holy Spirit to prophesy, and an individual member may (or may not) be used of the Holy Spirit in a specific instance (only if the Spirit of God determines it needful in a given situation). “For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; (9) To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (10) To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: (11) But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

The word “dividing,” in verse (11) holds the original Greek meaning, διαιρεω diaireo - “through or denoting separation, and hairéo (G138), to take, grasp, seize. To take from, divide, partition, apportion, assign.” One must first receive an assignment, momentarily separating them from other believers, apportioning to them their assignment (to prophesy, or minister a word of knowledge, or an utterance of tongues for public ministry, interpretation of tongues, etc.) as the Holy Spirit wills. Hamon and the Apostles and Prophets Movement, go beyond the scriptural boundaries of these gifts. Keep in mind that whether it is a momentary gifting of prophesy to minister as a believer to the congregation, or it is coming from a minister who is set into the Office of the Prophet in the Church, with prophesying a primary ministry, all prophesying is given for edification, exhortation and comfort, (only) for the Church, and does not bring with it, some type of authority over governments, ability to move nations, cities, etc. with Old

Testament style power. The Old Testament Prophets were given authority in the nation of Israel to govern and protect them, and to speak prophetically for the laying of the foundation for the coming of Christ and the foundation of the Church.

Hamon’s group believe that the Prophets of the Church are given for greater authority than we see in the New Testament Prophets, i.e. Agabus. The powers of the NT Apostles were given for authority to lay and complete the foundation, upon which the Church is to build its structure.

Hamon says: “Church prophets function in all the ministries of the Old Testament prophets, as well as the New Testament gift of the Prophet standing in the role of Christ, the Prophet.” (“Prophets and Personal Prophecy God’s Prophetic Voice Today p. 52).

Hamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however, he speaks a word of strong intimidation: anyone who disagrees with him appears to be cursed:

“The Holy Spirit must be allowed to deliver us from self-righteous, narrow-minded, argumentative attitudes. We must allow Him to deliver us from the theological and philosophical reasons which we have used to justify our divisive, exclusive, and separatist actions and attitudes. We have slipped by in times past and God has winked at our ignorance and immaturity, but not any more. God is demanding manhood of his ministers. Many will become sickly and die an early death because they will not rightly discern the Body of Christ, nor work for its unity.” (“Eternal Church” pp. 315-316)

It is obvious, of course, that the unity of which he speaks in agreement with His prophetic new foundations being laid by the Apostles and Prophets Movement.

Hamon explains, “Unity will bring about the resurrection life and result in the immortalization of the Church.” (“Eternal Church” p. 332)

Again of course, this blatantly contradicts New Testament Scripture. We shall all be changed from morality to immortality, no matter how mature or immature we may be at the time of the rapture. (1 Thess. 4:16-17) Paul also explains this in 1 Cor. 15:52-54: “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

“With the birthing of the Saints Movement we have learned that every believer is called to be a five-fold minister in their sphere of influence, whether that is the church, marketplace, government, etc. One pivotal ministry in the body of Christ is that of the watchman prophet.” (April 2011 Christian International ministries).

Again the Apostle and Prophets Movement err… The five-fold ministry is for the leadership of the Church to bring us to maturity. The “five-fold” is not for believers’ personal ministry or life, but for those ordained of God to lead the Church to the likeness of Christ. Again, in laying a new foundation for this new “dispensation” of which they speak, they have changed the foundation from “God has set some in the Church…” to something (not revealed in scripture) called, The Saints Movement,” in which all believers are called into the five-fold ministry of leadership.

Brother Kenneth E. Hagin says of those who believe this doctrine, “You can call yourself a donkey, but that doesn’t make you a donkey!”

“During these final years of the mortal Church, there will be great restoration and revival….Christian groups will establish Christian communities.…Some of these communities will evolve into small Christian cities which will be a prelude and prototype of the Kingdom to come. Christians will invent many things which will make their cities self-sufficient and independent of government control….There will be greater miracles of quality and quantity performed than have ever been recorded in church history. This will cause hundreds of millions to turn to Christ.” (Bill Hamon, The Eternal Church 1986, pp. 388–89.)

It is true that God has called for a great move of God to empower us with His glory. Where Hamon errs again is in his beginning introduction of the “final years of the mortal Church.” If taken in light of the Rapture, at which the Church receives immortality, then there would be no error in this statement per se. Unfortunately, however, this is just the root of another theological new foundation he will use to lay that the Church will achieve immortality through the ministry of the Apostles and Prophets Movement, through perfection of doctrine, not in the catching away of the saints at the final resurrection of the Church.

“The majority of denominational ministers will not recognize the greatest sign of the century, the Elijah COMPANY OF PROPHETS that the Holy spirit is raising up to make the proper preparation for the coming of our King Jesus and His dominion over all the earth “ (“Prophets And Personal Prophecy” p.23)

Again we have error. Hamon goes beyond the scripture in establishing this “sign” of the end times. There is nothing to indicate a “great company of Elijah Prophets being raised up to usher in the coming of the Lord and his dominion over all the earth. There is on the other hand a New Testament Prophecy of a great company of false Prophets raised up within the Church to deceive many: Matt 24:11 “ Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many .”

Once they depart from the scriptural foundation, anything goes. Numerology becomes prominent in their establishing authority for many of their prophetic words:

Bill Hamon: The Word of the Lord for 1999 - We have never had one-nine-nine-nine before. Nine is the number of the Holy Spirit. One is unity. With one, unity/God and triple Holy Spirit or Godhead, there will be something good in this year!” (message by Dr. Bill Hamon on December 31, 1998 - “The Church Aligned in 1999 To Arise and Shine In God's Appointed Time” )

Then there is their new foundation for this Kingdom era regarding angels. Again error comes from crossing over beyond scriptural boundaries:

Speaking at the National School of Prophets, Hamon spoke of a vision encounter with Michael the archangel:

“I was walking up towards the throne of God and I saw Jesus there and this gigantic, big angel and as I walked up it seemed like I moved over here and I listened and I heard the Lord say “Michael, this is General Hamon. General Hamon, this is General Michael.” And I watched as we strategized and God says “From this day forward I give you authority. When you call for Michael, he will bring a legion of

angels and they will fight and war and I give you comradeship and I give you cooperation, and I'm anointing you to join angelic hosts and the army of the Lord of the saints to win my battle.”

Where is the error?

First of all, there is nothing in the scripture about military titles given “christian warriors.” Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, all are called to simply be servants. Paul declared himself the least of the Apostles. But in no sense were there divisions of warriors, Captains and Generals of divisions, etc. That exists scripturally ONLY in the angelic ranks.

Second, Hamon claims that God gave to him an exalted place WITH THE ANGELIC ORDER! This is very serious. Angels will never take orders from men. They only respond to the voice of the Lord and His Word. They also will never attach their “loyalty to a human vessel.”

Joshua 5:13-15 AMP “When Joshua was by Jericho, he looked up, and behold, a Man stood near him with His drawn sword in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are you for us or for our adversaries? (14) And He said, No [neither], but as Prince of the Lord's host have I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, What says my Lord to His servant? (15) And the Prince of the Lord's host said to Joshua, Loose your shoes from off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy. And Joshua did so. [Exod. 3:5.]

There are no scriptural grounds for Church “warfare.” It is entirely a made up theology based on some symbolism of a diligent believers’ life. But even with that belief, one would be going off the deep end to believe that we, as believers, might be made “comrades” with the angelic order to be “Generals among them.”

Jude 1:3 AMP Beloved, my whole concern was to write to you in regard to our common salvation. [But] I found it necessary and was impelled to write you and urgently appeal to and exhort [ you ] to contend for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints [the faith which is that sum of Christian belief which was delivered verbally to the holy people of God].

Notice there is nothing new beyond the scriptural plans and future purposes of God spelled out clearly in His Word to us.

Jude 1:4-25 AMP For certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly by a side door]. (6) And angels who did not keep (care for, guard, and hold to) their own first place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place--these He has reserved in custody in eternal chains (bonds) under the thick gloom of utter darkness until the judgment and doom of the great day. (8) Nevertheless in like manner, these dreamers also corrupt the body (of Christ), scorn and reject authority and government, and revile and libel [heavenly] glories (the glorious ones). (12) These are hidden reefs (elements of danger) in your love feasts, where they boldly feast sumptuously [carousing together in your midst…They are clouds without water, swept along by the winds; trees, without fruit at the late autumn gathering time--twice (doubly) dead, [lifeless and] plucked up by the roots; (13) Wild waves of the sea, flinging up the foam of their own shame and disgrace; wandering stars… (20) But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying

6

Page 7: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

in the Holy Spirit; (24) Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight]-- (25) To the one only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it).

Hamon continues in the meeting: “Now, everybody that's willing to be a Prophet Warrior, raise your hand, because angels are coming for assignments to co-labor with us. You've had your guardian angels. But this is a new angel. This is a war angel. I say this is a war angel.”

After he has convinced the audience of this what Hamon does next is very disturbing and shows his real beliefs”

“Jesus, Commander in Chief, I call General Michael and the host of war angels; come and appoint yourself companions…now, now, now! Whish! Yeah! Yeah, here they come! Here they come! Yeah! Accept them! Accept them! Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Angels! I see angels all over! Big, warring angels! Warring angels! War angels! Yes! Yes! Whish! Whish! Come on! Sing in the Spirit. Say, “Here I am! I join with God's angelic host. I join with the army of the Lord.”

Next in the meeting, Cindy Jacobs inserted herself into the malaise, stating she foresees revival coming to the Latter-day Saints Temple in Salt Lake City.

Hamon writes about the meeting: ‘All this resulted in a flood of angels filling the room: “God says ‘From this day forward I give you authority. When you call for Michael, he will instantly obey you and bring a legion of angels and they will fight and war and I give you comradeship, and I’m adjoining you to join angelic hosts and the army of the Lord of the saints to win My battle’ and God’s raising up angels, and we’re going to call them in right now….Jesus, Commander-in-Chief, I call again for General Michael and the host of war angels, come and appoint yourself companions now, now, now! Here they come a for a second wave, Whoosh! Yeah! Yeah, here they come! Here they come! Yeah. Accept them! Accept them!” (National School of the Prophets Conference, January 29, 1999)

Scriptural error of course: Angels are our “servants.” Both they and we receive our instructions from the same Head of the Church. They are ministers (of God) for our good. To change that to ministers of ours… changes God’s Word and distorts it. Even Jesus did not have the power Hamon claims to have – notice the humility of Jesus relative to the heavenly hosts:

Matthew 26:53 AMP “Do you suppose that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will immediately provide Me with more than twelve legions [more than 80,000] of angels?”

It appears that the Hamon group assumes a totally different relationship with the heavenly hosts.

“The whole creation is waiting for the last generation Church. The earth and all of creation are waiting for the manifestation of God’s last-day apostles and prophets and fully restored Church. “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19

7

Page 8: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

NKJV). When the Church is fully restored, then the saints will receive their final redemption, the immortalization of their mortal bodies. When this happens, then the natural creation of plants and animals will be delivered from their bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” (Apostles, Prophets and the Coming Moves of God: God's End-Time Plans for His Church and Planet Earth. Destiny Image Publishers (July 1, 1997). p. 235.

From one egregious error to another, in the above we begin moving to another of the most dangerous doctrines being established – the “manifested sons of God” doctrine, which also embraces Manifested Kingdom and Earth Dominion through the Seven Mountain Plan to fulfill the promise, “Now the kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our God,” found in Revelation 11:15 which actually occurs after the first 3 ½ years of the Great Tribulation following the Rapture of the Church. They, however, skip the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, and move from the “mortal Church” age to the “immortal Kingdom” age, the latter brought about by the Apostles and Prophets Movement and the subsequent perfection of the Church, and eventual earth domination through the Seven Mountain theology by the Church ridding it of all evil, and thus making it ready for Christ’s descent to the earth to begin His millennial reign. (So far from scriptural truth that it is equal to earlier groups like Armstrong’s Worldwide Church of God, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, and others who rewrite scripture and the end of the World.

Let’s move forward with their so-called theology:

“The Earth and all of creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God, the time when they will come into their maturity and immortalization... When the Church receives its full inheritance and redemption then creation will be redeemed from its cursed condition of decay, change and death... the Church has a responsibility and ministry to the rest of creation. Earth and its natural creation is anxiously waiting for the Church to reach full maturity and come to full sonship. When the Church realizes its full sonship, its bodily redemption will cause a redemptive chain reaction throughout all of creation.” (Bill Hamon p. 385 The Eternal Church)

Hamon’s doctrine is loosely (and erroneously based on Rom 8:18-23: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves”

Hamon: “When the church has put under it's feet all enemies of Christ ...then Christ can be released from Heaven to return as the manifested head of His physically resurrected and translated church.” (Prophets and Personal Prophecy, Bill Hamon)

As you will soon see, Hamon does not take the correct use of the Romans scripture, but interprets it that we are made immortal and reign before Christ comes back through their apostle and prophet ministry. “When the church has put under it's feet all enemies of Christ.”

8

Page 9: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

However, the scripture teaches us that the Church will not EVER put death (the last enemy) under its feet. Rather, it teaches that the last enemy will be personally put under Christ’s feet Himself in the great Rapture of the Church.

1 Cor. 15:24-27: “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.”

The adoption to wit the redeeming of our body. When, how?

The how- 1 Cor.15:51-54;1 Thess. 4:16-17: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

Hamon states: “At that time the sons of God will be fully manifested on the earth. Widespread spiritual warfare will result with the sons of God doing battle with Satan and company, the non-Christian nations of this world will also be defeated. Once the earth has been subdued, Jesus will come back to earth and be given the Kingdom that has been won for Him by this “manchild company. The Manifested Sons of God will be equal to Jesus Christ: immortal, sinless, perfected sons who have partaken of the divine nature. They will have every right to be called gods and will be called gods . ” (Prophets and the Prophetic Movement Bill Hamon).

What happened, in regards to the world’s resistance of godliness as Jesus clearly predicted: the disciple cannot be greater than his master… if they have resisted me they will resist you?

Hammon says “God is preparing His Church to become an invincible, unstoppable, unconquerable, overcoming Army of the Lord that subdues everything under Christ's feet.” (“Apostles” p. 251) Because Jesus in the “Prophet/apostolic movement, he’s the mighty warrior,” “As mentioned earlier, they [apostles and prophets] will manifest all the miracles and judgmental plagues on the earth of Moses and Elijah and the two prophetic witnesses in Revelation chapter 11.” (“Apostles” p. 232)

Hamon is saying that modern-day apostles and prophets will eliminate people through plagues and fire. The Bible, however, prophetically limits this power to the two witnesses in the Tribulation (Rev.11:5) and the angels. And there is no evidence of an Apostles and Prophets Movement in the earth then… in fact the Church will be in the middle of the great rewards ceremony of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Hamon: “The whole world will be affected when the apostles and prophets are fully restored. Their supernatural prophetic and apostolic words will signal the rise and fall of many nations and people. They will be instrumental in determining goat and sheep nations so that when Jesus Christ comes He can put the sheep nations on His right and the goat nations on His left.” “It will not be long until Christians realize the tremendous ways the restoration of prophets and apostles will affect them and the corporate Church.” (Bill Hamon, Apostles, Prophets and the Coming Moves of God: God's End-Time Plans for His Church and Planet Earth. Destiny Image Publishers (July 1, 1997) p. 2

Again, distortion and manipulation of truth in scripture:

This is a reference from Matthew 25, when Jesus returns, following the Rapture, the seven year tribulation, and the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus will sit “on the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all the nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. [Matthew 25:31-33]

Hamon, however, has this occurring, not by Jesus personally, on His Throne of Glory, but by the Apostles and Prophets Movement during some invented age called “The Kingdom Age.”

Hamon promotes one of the more distorted doctrines, the manifested sons of God doctrine. Their interpretation of this verse is unique in church history. There is no rapture but people will be changed into eternal beings right here on earth to do miraculous works like Jesus to overcome the devil and the world system BEFORE, and in order to make ready the Lord’s physical return to earth and the millennial reign of Christ and His saints. Let’s bring this into scriptural truth:

The how- 1 Cor.15:51-54;1 Thess. 4:16-17: “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”

The when - Phil. 3:20-21: “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

It's not the church that does this but Jesus himself. And it will not be complete until all who are in Christ are resurrected.

Hamon states: “At that time the sons of God will be fully manifested on the earth. Widespread spiritual warfare will result with the sons of God doing battle with Satan and company, the non-Christian nations of this world will also be defeated. Once the earth has been subdued, Jesus will come back to earth and be given the Kingdom that has been won for Him by this “manchild company.” And these sons will be equal to Jesus Christ: immortal, sinless, perfected sons who have partaken of the divine nature. They will have every right to be called gods and will be called gods . ” (Prophets and the Prophetic Movement Bill Hamon).

So, what is immediately ahead from the new apostolic government according to Hamon?

Hamon: “As the ministry of the apostle and prophet founded the Church, so shall the ministry of the apostle and prophet be raised up in the Church to purge the ministry and the believers. Each

restorational advancement of the Army of the Lord has established denominational forts that are given responsibility to maintain the purity and power of that truth... New recruits are now being drafted and trained and older soldiers and generals are being put through intensified training for the next advancement of the Church Army. A new foundation must come forth, and a new government must be established. You are now ready to rule and reign on your overcomer's throne!” (“Eternal Church” p. 327)

Hamon in an interview says the “Rapture teaching is one of the most faith deadening teachings ever preached. It has the most neutralizing affect on a Christian's aggressive growth process.

Here is that interview:

Dr. Bill Hamon answers your questions about the eternal Church.

By Jennifer LeClaire

The Voice magazine sat down with Dr. Hamon to talk about God’s purpose for the Church, where we are now, and where we are headed in the years to come.

The Voice: In your book Eternal Church, we read about the restoration of the Church. Where are we now in the restoration process?

Dr. Bill Hamon: We are at the prophetic-apostolic. The prophetic movement of the 80s brought in the prophet. And in the 90s it was the apostle. Now we have all five ascension gifts fully restored. Now we can get busy, working, training, equipping, and activating the saints to demonstrate the Kingdom of God. Daniel says several times that the saints will do it. So that one-man show is coming to a close with the restoration of the apostles and prophets. Now it’s the whole Body of Christ arising and demonstrating the supernatural. We will see the Body of Christ coming forth in the Saints Movement.

We;ve crossed over the Jordan. The moment you cross over Jordan you’re going into warfare. The Israelites had four battles and 40 years in the wilderness. In this movement, it is constant warfare and you don’t stop until all of Canaan is subdued and the children of God are ruling and reigning.

The Church is being prepared now for the next moves of God. After the Saints Movement will be the Army of the Lord Movement. The next movement after that will be the Kingdom Establishment Movement.

11

Page 12: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

So we have three more movements yet to take place. So we are right now in the Prophetic-Apostolic Movement but then somewhere along 2012 the preachers will start getting on the ball and teaching and training the saints. Then we will have the Saint's Movement that will demonstrate to every nation the Kingship of Jesus Christ. Then we are going to have the Army of the Lord demonstrate the power of God and go forth as mighty warriors and shake whole nations. Then we will have the Kingdom Establishment Movement. The Kingdom will be established and Jesus will change us so we can finish the job with our immortal bodies.

It is important to pay attention to where and when he switches over into great error, moving outside the scriptural truth and over into his own theology. Those last words: “The Kingdom will be established and Jesus will change us so we can finish the job with our immortal bodies. In the scripture, when this moment takes place, the Church leaves the Earth with their immortal bodies… not stay here “to finish the job…”

The Voice: We have a lot a rapture teaching in the Body of Christ. Is that helping or hurting God's purpose?

Dr. Bill Hamon: Rapture teaching is one of the most faith deadening teachings ever preached. It has the most neutralizing affect on a Christian's aggressive growth process. We have a lot to do in this Earth and there is going to be a lot of stuff that we need to do in eternity.

If you don't have a big comprehensive vision, both restorationally and eternally, then what motivation is there to do much except try to win a few souls to get a big reward in heaven?

Rick Joyner, one of Hamon’s disciples, states: “the doctrine of the Rapture was a great and effective ruse of the enemy to implant in the Church a retreat mentality ... already this yoke has been cast off by the majority in the advancing church, and it will soon be cast off by all. The kingdom of God will not be socialism, but a freedom even greater than anyone on earth knows at this time. At first it may seem like totalitarianism, as the Lord will use us to destroy the antichrist spirit now dominating the world with "the sword of His mouth" and will shatter many nations like pottery. However, fundamental to His rule is II Corinthians 3:17, "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Instead of taking away liberties and becoming more domineering, the kingdom will move from a point of necessary control while people are learning truth, integrity, honor, and how to make decisions, to increasing liberty so that they can. ...The kingdom will start out necessarily authoritative in many ways, or in many areas, but will move toward increasing liberty--so do all true churches and movements that are advancing toward the kingdom. You may have to be very controlling of toddlers, but the older they get, the more they can be trusted, and the more freedom they should have if they are going to develop into true maturity, which requires personal responsibility.” ” (Rick Joyner, THE HARVEST 1989 /1990 revised booklet on p.121)

In scripture, the Lord does not use us to destroy the spirit of antichrist. That is fulfilled by Jesus personally who will destroy the antichrist spirit ruling the world at his coming back to the earth at the time of taking his role as King of Kings for the Millennium:

Rev 19:11-20 AMP After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and

He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness). [Ezek. 1:1.] (12) His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand. [Dan. 10:6.] (13) He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God. (14) And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses. (15) From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent). [Ps. 2:9.] (16) And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. [Deut. 10:17; Dan. 2:47.] (17) Then I saw a single angel stationed in the sun's light, and with a mighty voice he shouted to all the birds that fly across the sky, Come, gather yourselves together for the great supper of God, [Ezek. 39:4, 17-20.] (18) That you may feast on the flesh of rulers, the flesh of generals and captains, the flesh of powerful and mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all humanity, both free and slave, both small and great! (19) Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops. (20) And the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone.

So what is eliminated in their theology is the marriage of the Lamb in heaven, Jesus giving rewards to the faithful saints in the place he had gone to prepare for them (Jn.14) to safely keep them until the tribulation runs its course on earth. Jesus’ return to destroy the “spirit of AntiChrist” after Satan sets himself up in the Tempe in Jerusalem to rule the whole world with the “Mark of the Beast.” In its place is not just the “left-behind believers surviving during the tribulation, but no tribulation, the church spreading and ruling over all as an army of Jesus type miracle workers, overthrowing the wicked, removing iniquity, and making it an environment for Jesus to return to begin the prophesied new millennium.

Kingdom Now theology - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology

Kingdom Now theology is a branch of Dominion Theology which has had a following within Pentecostalism. It attracted attention in the late 1980s.[18][19]

Kingdom Now theology states that although Satan has been in control of the world since the Fall, God is looking for people who will help him take back dominion. Those who yield themselves to the authority of God's apostles and prophets will take control of the kingdoms of this world, being defined as all social institutions, the "kingdom" of education, the "kingdom" of science, the "kingdom" of the arts, etc. [20]

13

Page 14: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

Kingdom Now theology is influenced by the Latter Rain movement,[21] and critics have connected it to the New Apostolic Reformation [22] and "Spiritual Warfare Christianity.”[21]

Kingdom Now theology should not be confused with Kingdom theology, which is related to inaugurated eschatology.

The Seven Mountains concept is a vision for the total eradication of secular society and church-state separation. Os Hillman, Bill Hamon and Lance Wallnau, three of the scheduled Social Transformation Conference speakers, are in the vanguard of promoting the 7M idea, which Wallnau calls “a template for warfare.”

The ‘Seven Mountains movement’ is a newly formed global Protestant mega-denomination that has coalesced out of independent charismatic Christianity; Four of the speakers, Hillman, Wallnau, Pat Francis, and Bill Hamon, are all apostles within the biggest organizational body in this movement, the International Coalition of Apostles (ICA), launched in 2001 [see footnote #1], and three are on the ICA’s elite “Apostolic Council”.

[see this article, Resource Directory for the New Apostolic Reformation, for a list of Seven Mountains / NAR entities, initiatives, and prayer networks. For a short academic overview of the overall movement, see: Who are the Apostles? What is the New Apostolic Reformation? Seven Mountains Campaign?]

Notable facts about the Social Transformation Conference speakersOne apostle, Bill Hamon, serves, along with The Call founder Lou Engle, on the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE), the top prophetic body of the Seven Mountains movement, whose prophets profess to communicate directly with, and receive prophetic insight, from God. ACPE prophet Mary Glazier has suggested that believers will drive the unrighteous from “the land.” In September 2008, Glazier released a prophecy suggesting that Sarah Palin, following a tragic death, would ascend, after a period of national mourning, to a higher national office.

The New Apostolic Reformation / Seven Mountains movement

ACPE and the ICA are top organizational entities in the collective movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation–an attempt to remake Christianity that is as ambitious as was the original Protestant Reformation. Leaders and membership in this global, US-based movement are not waiting for the “Rapture”. They are seeking earthly power.

Leaders of the NAR/Seven Mountains movement are aggressively working to move from the fringes into the mainstream.

14

Page 15: donpickneyministries.orgdonpickneyministries.org/...OnApostlesProphetsAnd7Mo…  · Web viewHamon uses many “pet scriptures” to justify his Kingdom Dominion doctrines, however,

The NAR / Seven Mountains movement organizes through “prayer warrior” networks and has launched dozens of ground-level political organizing efforts (see: Resource Directory for the New Apostolic Reformation) in cities across the United States. In some cases, as in Newark, NJ, Baltimore, MD, and Orlando, FL, these efforts, generally branded with the term “transformation”, publicly presented as benign citywide prayer initiatives against crime and social problems, are nonetheless tied directly to top New Apostolic Reformation apostles and prophets.

The movement’s top leaders, especially C. Peter Wagner, Cindy Jacobs, and Ed Silvoso, have developed novel theological concepts (see: Strategic Level Spiritual Warfare (SLSW) Glossary) that involve the need to fight demon powers, which are held to cause societal problems and crime, and prevent successful evangelizing efforts (see: Muthee and the Transformations Franchise (PDF file)).

“Spiritual Mapping” has been a key organizing tool for the movement. It involves squads of believers walking city and town streets to identify sources of demon-infestation, which according to spiritual mapping teaching are often associated with businesses, institutions, and even specific individuals. Spiritual Mapping ideas have inspired local initiatives, such as in Amarillo, Texas, which appear to be evolving into faith-based vigilante efforts. During the 1990′s methods for Spiritual Mapping (and its public euphemism, called “Prayer Walking”) were developed by C. Peter Wagner and Ted Hagard, at Haggard’s Colorado Springs New Life Church.

The movement has developed its own Biblical scripture-based lingo, through which its apostles and prophets can communicate political ideas in a manner that outsiders almost wholly miss. One example of this Bible-based code-talking is the battlecry of the Seven Mountains movement, “The Head Not The Tail”.

The 7 Mountains / New Apostolic Reformation movement is developing an international network of miracle-healing centers under ICA apostle Cal Pierce, who describes his network as a “Kingdom Health Care System.” These centers, called “healing rooms”, purport to heal cancer and other serious illnesses, and drive out demons. The Lifeline Ministry of professed co-author of Uganda’s “Kill the gays bill” Julius Oyet runs one of Pierce’s healing room franchises.

Footnotes:

1. As of 2010, the International Coalition of Apostles removed its “short list” of ICA apostles from public circulation. Here is the 2009 members list [PDF file], courtesy of the Internet Archive, listing Os Hillman, Pat Francis, and Bill Hamon, and Chuck Pierce as ICA apostles. Lance Wallnau became listed as an ICA apostle in 2010 and now serves on the ICA’s elite apostolic council.

All four Harvard Social Transformation Conference speakers, apostles Pat Francis, Lance Wallnau, Bill Hamon, and Os Hillman, are also faculty members of C. Peter Wagner’s “Wagner Leadership Institute” (PDF file of WLI faculty members), which serves as the primary teaching institute for training evangelical leaders in the ideas and practices of C. Peter Wagner’s New Apostolic Reformation / 7 Mountains movement.
