Leda realise distribution is not one size fits all, so we will develop a dockbrain solution with you to meet individual company requirements from one to hundreds of doors and multiple facilities.

Web Control (Tier 3)Imagine controlling your docks and doors from your office, reception, security or anywhere else at site. Now imagine this control from any web connected PC! You can centrally control 1 or hundreds of sites and docks with any web browser (even a web connected tablet PC such as iPad if you are on the move).

PrebookingBooking a slot can be by your own staff where trucks can call in to request a slot or a third party restricted website login is available for freight companies to log in and manage their own fleet and drivers. You can even track site inductions.

SecurityIn its strictest security sense, you can provide vehicle and driver information to your security team to vet drivers prior to deliveries or at the front gate or lastly the actual dock. Ideal for sensitive government sites or where you want to block specific trucks or drivers from entry.

CommunicationsDockbrain can SMS or email confirm arrival times to trucks queued or on approach. This is ideal for sites with peak demand, limited parking or space (eg construction sites), secured locations or temperature controller. By calling trucks as required you can avoid queuing at the front gate and call trucks to your location as required. Right down to the very door they are to dock at, which is ideal for load preperation.

OHSDockbrain acts as a link between your equipment register for docks and the required training and maintenance for such equipment. Most notably your staff at the dock level can report service faults as they arise.

Introduction

Loading docks are a critical piece of the supply chain by linking your warehouse to trucking fleet. At Leda we understand the requirement for tested, heavy duty, reliable & safe to operate equipment is paramount to a successful loading dock

Why are 2 rams important?

It is safer & you can point load more which you cannot do with a number of central mounted single hydraulic ram docks. Leda's docks are also rated to carry the load whether a truck is in position or not. This is critical should the truck accidentally ever drive off.

Operation

The height of your dock should be at the average height of your loads.

Remember that containers can add 200mm to your truck bed loads.

Wind Bracing

Struts can be specified on any panel door to reinforce against bending, especially under wind loads & for wider doors.

Used on most panel doors above 5 metres in width or any door in high wind areas.

Springs

Leda high speed doors are designed for its use in warehouses, logistic centres, shops and any other kind of production plant where an intensive flow of goods takes place and to ensure a high level of insulation.

Sizing

Openings up to 4000mm x 4000mmApproximate door speed of 1 mtr/sec.

Specification

Canvas - Interior mesh of tear resistant, flexible polyester covered with PVC of 0,8 mm thickness. To provide higher rigidity on larger doors, horizontal reinforcements may be added.

Frame - Consists of two uprights and a top housing. Fabricated from 3mm folded steel sheet, painted according to the requested colour. Stainless steel option available for complete wash down unit.

Top Housing - Inside you will find the shaft & all necessary, mechanical components for the operation of the door. Stainless steel option available for complete wash down unit.

Motor / Gearbox - Located next to the shaft, motor operates at 3000 rpm.Single & 3-phase power supply options (220/380 V, 50 Hz)The motor also features a brake which provides accurate positioning and guarantees the door remains in its stopped position.In case of power failure, manually override is provided.IP54 standard, option for motor & controller to be sealed to client specification.

Rolling with Knockout feature

The knockout function allows easily repair of the door if accidentally hit by a vehicle.A simple zipper like attachment at either side of the door provides a repairable failure point protecting the canvas & frame from damage.

FoldingIdeal for doors: - on exterior of building - in windy areas - of large widths to 8 metres

Folding doors are specified where door openings are too large for a rolling type door. Most features remain the same however the canvas collects in loops at the top of the door, rather than on a roll.

Door Mounting

The nature of Quad or Bi-Folding doors is that the counterweight system means it is not top heavy; making it a very stable door.Doors can be designed with a self supporting frame or as part of a new building.

Door Mounting

The advantage of Tri or Bi-Slilding doors is that the weight of the door is transfered directly to ground.This removes the need for heavy structures to suspend the doors.Doors can be designed completely independant of building or integrated inside the stucture.

Design

Scissor mechanism with on-board or remote power pack and platform that can be used to elevate multiple pallet loads of goods between a dock and a vehicle.Scissor Lift tables are also specified in floor to floor applications where single or multiple pallet loads or equipment are being transferred.Safety bar is included in all tables as a no cost extra.

SPECIAL PAINT

Standard enamel finish is red with

yellow safety bar. Special colours or

paint formulations can be provided.

SKIRT

Concertina skirt made from

reinforced vinyl with stiffening rods

to prevent ingress into mechanism.

EXTERNAL POWER UNITS

Hydraulic power unit can be external

to the lift table, connected via a

hydraulic hose.

SINGLE PHASE / THREE PHASE

Lift tables may be supplied in either

single or three phase.

CHEQUERPLATE PLATFORM

Chequerplate platform for

pedestrian non-skid surface.

HINGED FLAPS

Hinged flaps can be fixed to the

platform to span the gap between

for easier relocation.

ACCESS HATCH

Access hatch in the platform allows

for maintenance access to power

unit when the lift table is fully lowered.

GALVANISED PLATFORM

Entire platform can be hot dipped

galvanised for enhanced durability

& corrosion resistance.

LIFTING LUGS

Screw in lifting lugs for easier

installation, especially for installing

into a pit. (removable)

FORKLIFT SOCKETS UNDERNEATH

Forklift sockets can be incorporated

into the base frame for easy

relocation of the lift table.

PERSONNEL LIFTING

Includes handrails, gates, safety

interlocking & on-board controls.

TANDEM TABLES
