Dear Friends, Fr. Soper asked me to take up his bulletin post while he is away on a much deserved vacation. After consulting the people of both of our parish-es as well as the joint pastoral council, we will be launching our summer evening weekday Mass experiment beginning on Thursday June 18th. Every Thursday from the 18th of June until the 3rd of September there will be a daily Mass at 7PM. Prior to Mass, beginning at 6:15PM, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be made availa-ble so as to expand opportunities to receive the gift of Christ’s mercy in your busy schedules. Fr. Soper and I are hoping that by having a Thursday evening celebration of the Eucharist more people will be able to experience the low-key beauty of Mass during the week. The 7PM Mass on Thursday will take the
place of the normally scheduled 9AM Mass at
St. Ann. It will take place in the lower church
of St. Ann during June and July and then
switch to the day chapel of St. Brendan during
August and September. Any currently scheduled intentions for 9AM Masses on Thursday will be remembered at the 7PM Mass. Stay tuned for activities and events scheduled following Mass on Thursday nights. Blessings, Fr. Tom

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and
Blood of Christ - Feast of Corpus Christi
Saturday June 6th following
4 PM Mass
The Feast of Corpus Christi is one time when our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament is exposed not just to faithful Catholics but to all the world. This is a time when Catholics can show their love for Christ in the
Real Presence by honoring Him in a very public way. It is also a wonderful way in which we can show our love for our neighbors by bringing Our
Lord and Savior closer to them!
We invite you to join us in procession from
Saint Ann Parish to Saint Brendan Parish
honoring this remarkable Feast Day. First Communicants
are invited to participate in the procession
and wear their formalwear. In celebration of the Feast of Corpus Chris-
ti and of our Dorchester community, there
will be a cookout/picnic gathering at Saint
Brendan campus following the procession.
All are welcome!

SAINT BRENDAN SCHOOL NEWS
Our Field Day on May 22 was a huge success. It was a day filled with relay races, hockey shoot outs, basketball, kick ball games, soccer and a fabulous DJ who played games all day with the kids. The music was great and then we came back to school for a delicious lunch, provided by PAL. It was hotdogs, chips and an ice cream treat.
Thank you to Mrs. O’Malley, Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Linehan who organized the whole day. The children really enjoyed the day as well as the teachers. All the parents who volunteered their time to help out, was great appreci-ated by all of us at school as well.
As we approach the end of May it’s hard to believe that school is almost over. The children in grades three through five are studying hard for their finals. The sixth grade students are getting ready for finals also and to say good-bye to their time at Saint Brendan School.
We have a band concert coming up, the talent show, class night, moving on celebrations, kindergarten gradua-
tions, and our final Mass as a school community on June 12th.
HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!
The St. Brendan PLAY IT FORWARD Campaign is raising funds to make much-needed capital im-provements for a fenced-in play area on the St. Brendan School grounds. We really need your help and
