CIRCUS COMPANY

THE COMPANY Company directed by the playwright and clown Patricia Pardo. In her work inside the Company, she investigates the coexistence of traditional and contemporary circus expression.

The predominant technique in the company is the gestual clown and, depending on the shows aerial and balance skill or juggling are also included. Live music, monologue-delusion and, occasionally, dance, are also resources that characterize her creations.

The goal is to parody human egocentrism, human weakness, our contradiction against heartbreak, misfortune, social inequality or heteropatriarchy.

The Company has toured several cities and festivals in America and Europe, and has received the Best Performance award at the Festival Internacional Cumbre de las Américas (2012, Argentina.) It has released 1 : AUGUSTA (2007)

PATRICIA PARDO Patricia Pardo (Valencia, 1975) writes, directs, performs and produces plays of her own company. She received the 2005 Max Award for the play MOMO, of which she is the scenic co-director along with Ximo Vidal for the company Pluja Teatre. As a playwright she has written and released works for other companies. Some of them are:
