Jeanie, Sorry this is taking so long. I’m having a few technical problems. These were on my old computer at home which isn’t hooked up to the internet and also has a very old Microsoft Works (3.0) word program on it. Making the switch to something a little more up-to-date has not been easy. The pages are all out of alignment and even the font was off. My old computer had a ZB manuscript font which I don’t have on the school’s computer. The computers at school all have Microsoft Word (2003). I’m hoping these will work for you. I did the Level 2 letters first but I can also re-do my Level 1 and Level 3 letters if you think they’ll be used. As you can see, I’ve used some of the wording from the Phonics For Reading: Letters of Progress in the teachers guide to describe the type of decoding skills students are practicing. I suppose you may have to get Anita Archer’s approval to mass- distribute these forms. I run these pages on a colored paper and attach them to the workbook pages which I tear out of the book as each lesson is completed. I think this helps me maintain better communications with parents concerning their child’s progress in the program. Beginning with Level 2, we also spend extra time practicing oral reading fluency on the story for each lesson. The students’ scores (time/errors) are recorded on the workbook page as well as the graph provided in the teacher’s guide. I have another note (which I am sending along as an attachment) that I occasionally attach to the story page as a reminder to practice re-reading the stories at home. I’m also sending you a copy of my individual student record form for level 2. It helps me keep track of scores on workbook pages and Checking-up selections. I am also able to record which homework pages are returned so I have documentation of parental involvement. This form is on a Microsoft Works spread sheet. I hope you can open it. If not, I’ll try to figure out another way of getting it to you. I guess that’s enough for now. Mona

Jeanie,

Sorry this is taking so long.

I suppose you may have to get Anita Archer’s approval to mass-distribute these forms.

I guess that’s enough for now.Mona
