Double page spread types

There are many different forms of double page spreads. They all serve different purposes, and therefore different types of magazines use different types. The different types which I have thought of are ; Interviews, Photography Spreads and Informative Articles

A question and answer interview are very popular with the artists or bands. These are written in continuous prose. Its easier to gain some personal insight with the interviewee.

This is an example of a question and answer interview double page spread. The questions are in bold and the answers are in regular font.

A photography spread is when a photograph or series of photographs take up the whole two pages. They often have little or no text on them, to emphasise the image.

The majority of the page is filled with the image. This is significant because it makes the image more of a focus point and it makes it look more artistic. You can normally find photography spreads in fashion magazines such as VOUGE.

An informative article, does what it says in the name, it informs you of something. They often include photos and texts . Here are some examples of informative articles

This article informs the reader on how to work your car. I wouldn’t [personally use an informative type of article because it isn’t interesting and entertaining.
