Double Page Spread
Research
Amy Towers
The photograph takes up
the whole right hand side
of the page, this
emphasises that Pink is
important.
The text is clear to read
and takes up the whole
left side of the page.
The two pages have a clear divide through
the centre. However, there is a bar that runs
across the top of both pages to show that it is
the same article.
There is a quote placed on
top of the photograph, this
is effective because it also
links the two pages
together.
The title is clearly
displayed at the top of
the page, this is
effective because the
reader would know
straight away that the
article is about Pink.
The colours used are
black, green, yellow
and white. These
colours compliment
each other very well
and make the double
page spread look
attractive.
The text in the article is
on a white
background, where as
the photograph of Pink
is on a black
background. The
contrast of these
colours helps to
separate the
photograph of Pink and
the interview with her.
This is effective
because the reader will
be able to distinguish
between the two.
The text in the article is black
and the background is white,
this makes it easy for the
reader to read the article
because the text is clear.
Pink is smiling and has a
happy facial expression.
She is looking straight
into the camera which
gives the reader the
impression that she is in
control.
A close-up shot of Pink is
used, this shows the
reader that the focus of the
article is completely on
her.
The lighting makes
Pink’s face stand out,
she contrasts against the
black background.
