Double page spreads most commonly advertise upcoming television programmes and films. The Radio Times produces many pages including ‘behind the scene’ ones (e.g. Dr
Who) and every design is kept to the conventions. Double page spreads have to look captivating as well as making the content interesting, as they try to keep their audience updated with the media and most popular programmes. You find double page spreads
in nearly every magazine available and this is why it is vital that we create one to a similar or higher standard so that it will stand out amongst the others. As our chosen audience is Channel 4, as a group, we must look at existing double page spreads that have been advertise by them and design ours to fit within their conventions, which
should make ours just as successful.
