Our Catholic Schools provide students with a dynamic, relevant and faith-filled edu-cation in a safe, caring and Christ-like learning environment. At our Catholic Schools, you can expect:

a Strong catholic Learning communityOur dedicated staffs connect our students to community through acts of service and dynamic community events. Our staffs and students pray together and for one another. Parents have a very active role in our schools and contribute in many ways with their talents and their time. Multiple generations of families attend our Catho-lic schools for our tradition of academic excellence and spiritual formation. Our schools are strong Catholic Learning Communities.

Faith FormationOur staffs pray together before school, then in their class with their students. Our teachers and pastors meet monthly to work and learn together. New Catholic re-sources support faith formation in our schools and parishes. http://aliveinchrist.osv.com/aicinfo

Staffs are role models in our faith and integrate the teachings of our faith through-out the day. Many school ceremonies and gatherings revolve around the liturgical calendar. Students in our Catholic Schools learn about the treasure and significance of the celebration of the Eucharist while participating in Mass regularly. Our priests visit the schools regularly, making connections with students and staff, often helping at school functions.

Learning and innovationWe use technology and effective teaching practice to engage and support student learning. Teachers can work collaboratively with colleagues on Learning and Innova-tion Teams to improve practice. We have an iGeneration student video challenge that teaches students collaboration and problem solving skills, enabling students to be innovative and creative.Catholic schools have a proud tradition of providing a rich, vibrant learning experi-ence in all areas: academic, spiritual, physical and social. Many of our schools have smart boards and interactive technology to support engaging, effective practice. Our students participate in extra-curricular teams such as volleyball, basketball, soccer and cross-country. We proudly offer strong fine arts programs that include band, choir, and speech arts in many schools. Our educators work together as a commu-nity of learners to support curious, self-regulated students who will be successful in the 21st century. http://cispg.ca/igeneration

“sacred heart school is my foundation in so many ways. My teachers at sacred heart school fostered

my interest in science, that eventually led me to the path of studying medicine. More importantly, they helped mould my values and showed me how to

respect, love and forgive those around me. Sacred Heart is Family to me.”
