Historically employers have desired web workers with a broad base of skills. Recently the focus has shifted to employers desiring specific skills and deeper knowledge in those areas. JavaScript, Search Engine Optimization and Analytics are often cited in job postings, along with traditional front-end web coding skills. The changes proposed reflect this new reality for our graduates and are further reinforced by feedback I input from the INP advisory committee.
