3. ANDALUSIA REMAINS A LEADING SPANISH REGION FOR THE PV INDUSTRY
Andalusia had nearly 750 MW of installed PV capacity at the end of 2010. Similar to the rest of Spain, new installations came to stop in 2009. However, new installations increased by 12% in 2010 reflecting the overall recovery of the market.
The region has 16 PV plants with more than 5 MW capacity and 18 PV plants with a power range between 1-5 MW in operation.
