morale and self esteem 28 such small groups, consisting of 580 women in operation
today Offer free legal advice through qualified legal professionals Tailoring Classes, Health and Child care Education, Health
Check up, AIDS Awareness Camps, Energy Saving Programs - conducted on a regular basis
Monthly meetings, periodic business tours, and visits to temples (to promote interaction and harmony)

Another Initiative from Surajya is “Programs for Adolescent Girls” Avoid the risk of choosing a wrong path (due to lack of
employment opportunities due to illiteracy) Educate them on physical and emotional well being,
physical and psychological changes that occur during adolescence, through qualified physicians
Create an awareness about the legal and right age for marriage – educate them on perils of Child Marriage

who reside in the vastis) Train the volunteers on activities, organizing skills and social skills Extend the activities to engage more involvement from children in
