Bakat mahasiswa dan mahasiswi Universiti Tenaga Nasional
dari Kolej Kejuruteraan dan Kolej Sains Komputer &
Teknologi Maklumat berjaya diperlihatkan melalui program
Showcase Gema UNITEN bersempena Sambutan 20 Tahun
UNITEN pada tahun ini. Showcase ini menggabungkan 40
orang pemuzik, 8 penyanyi, dan 10 orang penari yang telah
dijayakan oleh kumpulan Estetika Mahasiswa UNITEN atau
singkatannya Gema UNITEN. Gema UNITEN adalah
gabungan 4 kumpulan seni persembahan rasmi UNITEN
dibawah seliaan Unit Sukan dan Kebudayaan, Pusat Hal
Ehwal Pelajar iaitu GemaGamelan, GemaMuzika, GemaSuara
dan GemaTari. Kumpulan ini merupakan kumpulan rasmi
yang mewakili universiti dalam pertandingan dan
persembahan jemputan termasuk dari TNB, Kementerian,
agensi kerajaan dan badan bukan kerajaan.

Triz (Theory of the Resolution of Invention-Related Task) is a
problem-solving, analysis and forecasting tool derived from the study
of patterns of invention in the global patent literature. It involves
around 40 concepts which can be applicable in solving real life
problems, either in engineering or non-engineering related field. This
talk was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yip Mum Wai from Tunku
Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC), where the key
audiences are the students involved in Mechanical Design Process
Competition of the day.

provides Smart City Solutions. Internet of
Things or commonly abbreviated as IOT is
the current uprising concept which targets
to make everything accessible by internet.
This concept involves using smart devices,
electronics, software, sensors and network
connectivity that enables these components
to collect and exchange data. This can
convert the current industries into computer
-based systems, which allow increase in
efficiency and accuracy at the same time
reducing the amount of man power
required.
