He married Chloe COLLINS and thecouple lived in Williams Township, ChathamCounty, North Carolina, where their ninechildren were born. They are then found inWest Tennessee near Mifflin, HendersonCounty and finally in South Gibson, Ten­nessee. The known descendants of thisWILLIAMS family have been organized intofamily units with the use of family ancestralcharts, which is an excellent way to presenta family as a complete unit. With the knowndata and statistics completed, each chartbecomes a brief family history. Section I ofthis fine record contains the charts of JohnWILLIAMS - the early ancestor. Johann Paul WEITZEL, the acnowledgedprogenitor of this family in America, wasborn in Oberingelheim, Rheinland-Pfalz,Germany in 1716 to Peter WEITZEL. JohannPaul was granted naturalization as a Britishsubject in 1762. He married Charlotte Eliza­beth FRAULER, the daughter of Jost andChristina FRAULER of Glaurus, CantonGlaurus, Switzerland. Johann and Charlottewere parents to eleven children all born inLancaster, Pennsylvania and baptized inthe First Reformed Church. This record ischarted through Peter WHITESEL (JohannPeter WEITZEL), the eldest son of JohannPaul and Charlotte. Separate chapters havebeen devoted to the sons of Peter and hiswife Ann METX: John who married firstElizabeth KEPLINGER, second Sarah (?),Peter Jr. who married Mary TUTWILER,Abraham who married Magdalene KELLER;Jacob who married Catharine REUBUSH,and George who married Catharine TUT­WILER.
