What is Chronic Unease?
“A state of Chronic Unease is achieved when we have created a culture

What do we mean by Risk Normalisation?
10November 2016
Risk Normalisation is a mental process which allows you to turn on your gas appliance or
drive your car without a paralysing fear of your house blowing up or of being in an
accident. It is not necessarily a bad thing. It is what allows us to get out of bed each
morning and carry on with our day.
Risk Normalisation becomes a problem at work when we become so accustomed to, and
comfortable with, risks that we shouldn’t be comfortable with….
