6. PROVIDE EXCAVATING AND BACKFILLING FOR PLUMBING WORK. PROTECT ACCORDING TO OSHA STANDARDS.7. SUPPORT PIPING AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE STRUCTURE TO PREVENT SAGGING, POCKETING, SWAYING, AND
VIBRATIONS, AND ARRANGED TO PROVIDE FOR EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION. BRACKETS, CLAMPS, ANDHANGERS SHALL BE STEEL OR COPPER. CHAIN, PERFORATED IRON OR WIRE HANGERS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
8. PROVIDE SLEEVES AND INSERTS FOR ALL PLUMBING PIPING. SEAL ALL PIPING PASSING THROUGH FIRE-RATEDCONSTRUCTION WITH APPROVED MATERIAL TO MAINTAIN AIR-TIGHT, FIRE-RATED INTEGRITY.
9. ALL PIPING SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED AND WITNESSED BY THE OWNER PRIOR TO CONCEALMENT. PROTECTEQUIPMENT AND FIXTURES OR EQUIPMENT, ISOLATING THEM DURING THE TEST.
10. PROVIDE FLEXIBLE PIPE CONNECTIONS ON PIPES CONNECTED TO EQUIPMENT SUPPORTED BY VIBRATIONISOLATION. DIELECTRIC UNIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED WHERE DISSIMILAR METALS ARE CONNECTED, BETWEENPIPING OR PIPING AND EQUIPMENT.

2. COMPLY WITH STATE AND LOCAL CODES, UTILITY COMPANY REGULATIONS. THE LATEST EDITIONS OF THE 2015INTERNATIONAL CODES, 2017 NEC AND NFPA CODES.
3. EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS SHALL BE NEW, UL-LISTED FOR THE USE INTENDED, BE FREE FROM DAMAGE ORDEFECT, AND SHALL BE INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. MANUFACTURERS NOT LISTED AREENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT FOR ACCEPTANCE AS AN "APPROVED EQUIVALENT". QUALITY OF SPECIFIC EQUIPMENTIS ESTABLISHED BY MANUFACTURER'S CATALOG NUMBER. ALTERATIONS CAUSED BY ANY SUBSTITUTION SHALLBE ACCOMPLISHED AT NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE OWNER.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL OPERATION OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS FOR APERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF FINAL ACCEPTANCE. PROVIDE OPERATING AND MAINTENANCEINSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATION OF ALL MECHANICAL SYSTEMS.
5. VERIFY ELECTRICAL POWER CHARACTERISTICS BEFORE ORDERING EQUIPMENT. ELECTRICAL WORK PERFORMEDBY THIS CONTRACTOR WILL CONFORM TO THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
6. PROVIDE EXCAVATING AND BACKFILLING FOR MECHANICAL WORK. PROTECT ACCORDING TO OSHASTANDARDS.
7. SUPPORT PIPING AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE STRUCTURE TO PREVENT SAGGING, POCKETING, SWAYING, ANDVIBRATIONS, AND ARRANGED TO PROVIDE FOR EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION. BRACKETS, CLAMPS, ANDHANGERS SHALL BE STEEL OR COPPER. CHAIN, PERFORATED IRON OR WIRE HANGERS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
8. PROVIDE SLEEVES AND INSERTS FOR ALL MECHANICAL PIPING. SEAL ALL PIPING PASSING THROUGH FIRE-RATEDCONSTRUCTION WITH APPROVED MATERIAL TO MAINTAIN AIR-TIGHT, FIRE-RATED INTEGRITY.
9. ALL PIPING SYSTEMS SHALL BE TESTED AND WITNESSED BY THE OWNER PRIOR TO CONCEALMENT. PROTECTEQUIPMENT AND FIXTURES OR EQUIPMENT, ISOLATING THEM DURING THE TEST.
10. PROVIDE FLEXIBLE PIPE CONNECTIONS ON PIPES CONNECTED TO EQUIPMENT SUPPORTED BY VIBRATIONISOLATION.
11. ALL INSULATION SHALL HAVE A COMPOSITE RATING NOT EXCEEDING FLAME SPREAD 25 AND SMOKEDEVELOPED 50.
12. PIPE INSULATION SHALL BE RIGID FIBERGLASS, COVERED WITH AN ALL PURPOSE JACKET, SEALED WITHPRESSURE SENSITIVE TAPE. INSULATION SHALL BE JOHNS-MANVILLE "MICRO-LOK AP-T" WITH "ZESTON" FITTINGS.INSULATION SHALL HAVE A K-FACTOR OF .23 AT 75°F MEAN WITH THICKNESSES AS FOLLOWS:

13. WHERE EXPOSED TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE, INTERIOR OR EXTERIOR, PIPING INSULATION WILL BE COVERED WITHALUMINUM JACKET, INCLUDING ALL FITTINGS, VALVES, ETC. JACKET AND INSULATION WILL BE SEALEDWEATHERTIGHT AND INSTALLED PER MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS.
14. DUCTWORK SHALL BE GALVANIZED SHEETMETAL CONSTRUCTED AND INSTALLED ACCORDING TO THE LATESTASHRAE, SMACNA, AND UMC STANDARDS. DUCTWORK SHALL BE SEALED WITH MON-ECO INDUSTRIES ECODUCT SEAL 44-50 TO SMACNA CLASS C. PROVIDE DUCTS, CONNECTIONS, DAMPERS, TURNING VANES, ANDGASKETED ACCESS DOORS. CHANGES IN DIMENSIONS AND SHAPE OF THE DUCTS SHALL BE GRADUAL. ALLDUCT DIMENSIONS SHOWN ON DRAWING ARE INSIDE DIMENSIONS. PAINT INSIDE OF DUCTS WHICH ARE VISIBLETHROUGH GRILLES DARK BLACK. 15. FLUE PIPING SHALL BE UL-LISTED, TYPE B, DOUBLE-WALL, GAS VENT PIPING. ALL FLUES SHALL TERMINATE IN AROOF CAP. THE FLUE VENT PIPING SHALL BE MANUFACTURED BY METALBESTOS, HART AND COOLEY ORAPPROVED EQUIVALENT.
16. TEES, 90 ELBOWS UP TO 18" WIDE AND 45 ELBOWS SHALL CONSIST OF AN INSIDE RADIUS GREATER THAN HALFTHE DUCT WIDTH, OR BE FURNISHED WITH DUCT VANES.
