Introduction andPurpose

ItisessentialthatDurhamCollegeprogramscontinuouslyimproveandevolveastheneedsandprioritiesofstudents,employers,communitiesandtheinstitution change.TheAnnualProgram Review (APR)isintended to beused byprogram stakeholdersin pursuitofthisobjective.Itistobeacollaborativeprocess.Oncecompletedandanalyzed,theAPRwillhelptheprogramstakeholdersestablishprioritiesand identifyany aspectsoftheprogramrequiringimmediateattention. TheAPRprocesssupports regularprogram maintenanceand contributestothecumulativedatatotheinternalComprehensiveProgramReviewprocessthatoccureveryfivetosevenyearsatDurhamCollege.

ACriticalPathisprovided and containsthepathwayandmilestones required fortheAPR process.TheAPRwillbecompletedbyJune15ofeachacademicyear. Astatusupdatewillbesubmittedwithinsixmonthsofthefinalreportdeadline.TheAPRReportcontains threetemplatesections:

SectionA supportstheExecutiveDean/Associate Dean Review oftheprogram.It containssuggestedcategoriestoconsiderduringtheAPRprocessandwillbecompletedbytheExecutiveDean/AssociateDean/Dean/Directorin collaboration orconsultation with theProgram Coordinator.

SectionB istheProgramCurriculum Reflection.Theembeddedcategoriesandindicatorswillbeusedtothinkcritically andreflectivelyabouttheprogramcurriculum.Programdata(e.g.:retention report,program healthmatrix,KPIreportcard,PAC minutes, student feedback, etc.) shouldbeconsidered,asappropriate.TheProgramCoordinator(ordesignate)willleadthereflection,workingcollaborativelywiththeProgram Team.

SectionC istheRecommendationsandActionPlans.To complete,theExecutiveDean/AssociateDeanandProgramCoordinatorwilldrawfrom Sections AandBtobuildrecommendationsforprogram improvementandtheactionplansforimplementation.Within 6months ofthesubmissionoftheAPRReport(June15),the ProgramCoordinatorwillsubmitanupdatedActionPlan orStatusUpdate(usingSection C) tothe Manager,ProgramReviewandRenewal,forapprovalbytheAssociateVicePresident,Academic.ShouldtheActionPlan requireMinor or MajorProgramChange,please seeforms onthe C.A.F.E. website.
