Hemmingway: 23 years “young”!

Hemmingway is a very allround

sire, in who sport is matched with

an appealing type and good move-

ments. As a six and seven-year-

old he competed at the World

Championships for Young Show-

jumping Horses in Lanaken

(Belgium) and he competed suc-

cessfully up to1.40m level. He

delivers a high percentage of Ster

mares and passes on very good

movements and strong use of the

hind leg. Hemmingway's sire Leandro is a son of the foundation sire Langraf I. Leandro sired

influential stallions like Blue Horse Leredo, Levisto Z., Le Filou N, Le Noir, Leflaro, Le Blanc,

etc. Many of his offspring are winners of championships in showjumping and dressage. Hem-

mingway's dam Marle H produced three international show jumpers in a row,

including the 1.60m show jumper Cassini (by Calypso II). She is by Romantiker

who is by the "stallion of the century", G. Ramiro Z.

A large number of offspring in the three Olympic disciplines reaches top level.

Such as Leandro (Hemmingway x Sultan) who won the 1997 Nation Dutch

Championships for Young Horses as a four-year-old and was fourth overall at

the 1998 World Championship for Young Jumping Horses in the five-year-old

division. Overa (Tina Fletcher) winning the prestigious Queens Elizabeth II Cup

at the Royal International Horse Show, Markant (Chris Pratt) who won in 2004

nearly $300.000, Mianta (Callan Solem) won the $50.000 Grand Prix at HITS

Ocala, Prince (Steffen Peters) won the Grand Prix Kur at the National Horse

Show in Del Mar, California. Midas Mulligan (Michael Pollard) winning the

UESA Gold Cup CIC2** in Hamilton, USA. Vince Black (Frans Wijlaars) won

the Derby of Eindhoven in 2011.

Hemmingway: Proven sire of Grand Prix showjumpers, eventers and

dressage horses and free of the chestnut gene.

Vegas is a beautiful stamp of

a stallion. His canter has a lot

of reach and a very good

balance. He jumps with quick

reflexes and shows a lot of

scope. Long lined, athletic

and the will to perform are the

key to success. The sire line

of Vegas consists of internati-

onal show jumpers and pro-

ven jumper producers. Atlan-

tic competed at the highest level, his full brother In Style, is one of the

best horses at Grand Prix level in the USA and Canada and competed

at the Olympic Games 2008. Grandfather Jus de Pomme is a legend,

who won the Individual and team Gold at the Olympics in Atlanta.

Vegas' dam is the 'Ster Prestatie' premium mare Nellandra, who pro-

duced in combination with Quaprice the KWPN approved stallion

Baltic VDL and in combination with Silverstone VDL, the 1.40m show

jumper Silver Pomme VDL. Her full sister Melandra competes at inter-

national 1.50m level, while a brother of Nellandra competes at 1.40m

level. As a 5 year old Vegas was placed 6th in the stallion competiti-

on, came 4th in a 1.20 class of ‘Indoor Friesland’ and won the final at

the national horse show of Sonnega. As a 6 year old

Vegas had good results at 1.30 level and won the

KWPN/GMB Stallion competition at the Stallion Selec-

tions in Den Bosch. As a 7 year old he started his

International showjumping career.

Offspring of Vegas are doing very well at mare and

foal shows. At the National Show jumping Champi-

onships in Holland several of Vegas' 4 and 5 year

old's were hailed for their scope and ride-ability!

To choose Vegas is no gamble!

Ben Nevis is an interesting

bred son of Concreto.

Concreto, by the legendary

stallion Contender, was premi-

um licensed at the Hol-

stein stallion show and placed

in international 1.50m jumping

classes. His dam Hafolia

(mare line173) goes directly

back to the mare Defolia who

is the full sister to the famous

stallion Capitol I. The damline

from Ben Nevis is the best you can find in France. Kouglof II and Uriel both sired many ap-

proved sons and international jumping horses. The dam from Duchesse, Gueule d'Amour,

also produced Pavlova des Malais, the mother of Flipper d'Elle, who very successfully

jumped at international Grand Prix level with Laurent Goffinet. In 2006 he won ten different

International titles, including the Grand Prix of St Lô, the CSIO

5* of Gijon, the 4* Grand Prix of Deauville and the 4* Grand

Prix of Bremen.

Duchesse also bred the mare Wyona, who is jumping at 1.40m

level in British Showjumping with Laura Hutt. As a three year

old Ben Nevis won the Scottish National loose jumping Cham-

pionships. In January 2013 he started his international CSI**

show jumping career and is now successfully competing in the

7 year old classes at 1.30/1.35m level. Ben Nevis’ offspring

are modern, well developed and elegant. They move with a lot

of self carriage and expression. In 2009 his daughter Ettrick

Lilly was the highest graded filly foal at the KWPN mare and

foal grading in Scotland. In 2010 his son FBI did the same in

the colt section. Glen Nevis Scais scored an Elite Premium

with 9.07 points at the BEF Futurity grading in 2011.

Erdento’s sire Cardento was a

solid member of the Swedish

showjumping team. He recei-

ved a Silver medal at the

World Championships, Euro-

pean Championships and at

the Olympics in 2004. He won

the Nations Cup of Rome,

Drammen and Ikast. Individu-

ally he won the Grand Prix of

Holte, Helsingborg, Angel-

holm, Gera, Kungsbacke [2x] and took 2nd place in Arhus. Erdento’s dam Irina is one of

the best KWPN breeding mares standing in the UK. She gained the predicates Elite, Pre-

ferent, Prestatie and Sport from the KWPN studbook in Holland and competed up to 1.40m

nationally. She produced so far sixteen foals of which eight went on to compete at 1.40m

level or higher! Her best known offspring so far are: Lancer, competed international 1.50m

with Astrid Woss, Plato, winner of the 4yr old Dutch Showjumping Championships, Veld-

heer, winner of the 6yr old Dutch Showjumping Championships, Labor's Wonderboy, com-

peting 1.55m level with Olympic rider Jur Vrieling and AES Approved stallion Tsjakka. Irina

also produced 5 'Ster' and 2 'Keur' graded progeny with the KWPN studbook. Recently

licensed with the AES Studbook, our ho-

pes are high for this outstanding young

stallion. What he has shown so far either

at home or during the loose jumping

shows is just phenomenal! This great

scope and unlimited ability to lengthen

and shorten between the jumps is seldom

seen in a young horse.

Erdento: where good looks, athleticism,

fantastic pedigree and unlimited scope

come together!

Silverstone is a son of Champion

du Lys, who won many Grand

Prix with Ludger Beerbaum and

also won the Derby of Hamburg

twice. Silverstone's dam Mar-

thago (by two time Olympic stal-

lion, Carthago) is an exceptional

Holsteiner brood mare. She was

awarded the ‘Keur’ predicate

from the KWPN studbook. She is

also the dam of the Zangers-

heideapproved stallion Chuck Z. Grand dam Aline is the dam of the

stallion Laralle and the international showjumper Corniola. Silver-

stone received the highest points during the KWPN Stallion Test and

finished in 1st place for jumping and a 3rd place in the total classifi-

cation. Silverstone won the stallion competition 2006/2007. He did

this by winning 3 out of the 4 qualification rounds. He is currently

competing in 1.50m classes. Silverstone’s offspring sure know how

to jump! The mares Bigeunerin and B. Ocinthe were placed 2nd and

3rd at the Dutch Loose Jumping Championship 2009. His son Win-

ston was Dutch Champion of the 4 year old show jumpers. Bugatti

got his approval from the KWPN in 2009 and won the KWPN/KNHS

GMB Stallion Competition 2013. Silverstone's oldest offspring are

competing and winning at the highest level in international classes.

Waterstone II (R. Whitaker) won the puissance at the CSI in Stock-

holm by jumping over 2.12m! Wigeunerin won the Grand Prix at the

CSI** in Drachten. Silverstone's offspring is doing well in American

hunter classes where his son Listen was awarded the Grand Confor-

mation Hunter 2011. Silverstone also is a fantastic sire of potential

event horses. He throws elegant modern sport horses with athletic

paces and a powerful balanced jump. He is the perfect choice to

improve the typical event mares.

His sire Lancelot jumped interna-

tional at 1.50m level and has sired

many Grand Prix horses like Pava-

rotti with Todd Minikus, Rosinus

with Geoff Billington and many

more.

Tsjakka’s dam Irina is one of the

produced 5 'Ster' and 2 'Keur' graded progeny with the

KWPN studbook and 2 AES graded Stallions.

Tsjakka is competing successfully at 1.50m level CSI**

with his rider Philippa Curry and has developed himself as

a true Puissance specialist! He won the puissance at

Lathen (Ger) and twice at Cavan International clearing the

wall over 2.00m, 2.05m and 2.12m. His first offspring are

performing well and appear to be very promising. His son

Dileas was placed first in the 4 year old class at Scope

Barcutan Zulu Chief is one of a

very few British bred and pas-

sported homozygous coloured

sport horse stallions in the world.

This means he produces 100%

colored offspring. Bred from a

thoroughbred damline that can be

traced back as far as 1879, and

famous showjumping and dressa-

ge stallions on the sire side, Zulu

is well suited for producing off-

spring in all disciplines. Sire Cutsdean Centurion has proven to be consistent in his ridden ca-

reer. Never being out of the placings and mainly in the top 3 in all of his dressage tests. Both,

dam and grand dam from Barcutan Zulu Chief, have competed successfully affiliated Brittish

Eventing. Barcutan Zulu Chief adds colour, movement, correct conformation, stamina and a love-

ly temperament to the Brittish breeding. Being completely free from the popular Samber (and Ico

Sun) bloodlines makes him even more interesting to use. His foals are doing very well at shows

in the colored

and sports

horse classes

and at the

BEF Futurity

shows. They

very sought

ted riders.

Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve

In the pedigree of Tangelo v/d Zuutho-

eve we find an accumulation of the

best European show jumping sires.

His sire Narcos II is amongst the best

sires in French breeding. Also dam’

sire Laudanum xx, is one of the fore-

most show jumping horse progenitors

in the world. The dam line continues

via Ramiro Z and Almé Z to the foun-

dation stallion Gotthard. With his rider

Roelof Bril, Tangelo v/d Zuuthoeve

jumped international at 1.60m level.

They became 3rd in the Grand Prix of

Vienna and 3rd in the Grand Prix of

Birmingham. His excellent leg tech-

nique, a surplus in power and careful-

ness makes Tangelo v/d Zuuthoeve

one of the most remarkable jumping stallions available. Several of his sons are already li-

censed: Eldorado became graded last year with the Zangersheide studbook, Triple was cham-

pion at the NRPS stallion grading and Vigaro gained his KWPN and Zangersheide approval

before moving on to jump at international 1.60m level. Other top international show jumpers by

Tangelo v/d Zuuthoeve are: Billy Angelo, Viceroy, Warrior and Eurocommerce Valesca. Many

of Tangelo’s female offspring score high at mare and foal gradings and taking top marks at the

loose jumping competitions. Tangelo v/d Zuuthoeve produces healthy offspring, with pleasant

willing temperaments and with natural jumping ability!

Phin’s dam Miss Abdullah T is by another world famous

showjumping stallion, Abdullah. Under Conrad Homfeld

Abdullah put the World Cup final to his name in 1985.

Phin Phin has competed at the highest level with rider

Roelof Bril. The pair won competitions including the

Grand Prix of Zwolle and Gyon and international clas-

ses in Amsterdam, Arnhem, Geesteren, Maastricht,

London, Wembley and Sachendorf. Phin Phin stands

out for his take-off, fighting spirit and leg technique. His

son Ultimo was licensed by the KWPN, and several of

his offspring are now competing at Grand Prix level. Tin

Tin with Alice Debaney Clero, Avenis with Abdel Said,

Urona with Omar Karaevli and Top Secret with

Cgristian Schranz just to name a few.

Phin Phin’ offspring also perform well at the mare and
