• Generate a PDF of your order from the Current Orders to check scan box coordinates and other information
• Use the NIROPS CDE KML to check scan box size and location
Create New Orders
To create the next night’s order:
Click on “create new order” under Options
Edit order
Click on “Submit as New”
Retrieving Archived Orders
If you need to retrieve and submit an archived order as a new order
Go to “Current Orders”
Click on “Show Archived”
Find your old order
Click “create new order”
Edit order
Click on “Submit as New Request”

Due to balancing improved detection of smaller heat sources with reduction of bloom/system saturation
Rim Fire – August 23, 2013 - grew by 50,000+ acres

Recognize halo effect pixels by location, spatial arrangement
Utilize color .tif to distinguish halo pixels from valid heat sources
Remember that halo pixels will be included in Raw Heat Data and should not be mapped
Changes to NIFC FTP SiteFTP.NIFC.GOV will be moving to a new server to address security concerns on June 1st
New site will have the same address i.e. ftp://ftp.nifc.gov/
Old username/passwords will no longer work
All users will need NAP accounts for upload access

If you have a ROSS Account, you have a NAP account and password.
If you don’t, request NAP access immediately:Request a NAP User Account
After June 1st, you will need a NAP account for IRIN work.

I will send an email to the helpdesk to grant you access to the IRIN user group
IRIN user group includes read/write access to the 2015_Fires folder in NIROPS as well as write access to Incident_Specific_Data folders for all GACCs
It may take a week or more initially to grant access
You should get a notification email (?)
Starting June 1st …….Use your NAP user ID and password for access to NIFC FTP site
