Today we welcome the players, spectators and committee from The Moles of Aylesbury FC, we also welcome our Match Officials Stephen Bates, Errol Walker and Turan Yesilurt, we hope you all have an enjoyable stay with us. Our first meeting of this season came on 30th September at Haywood Way. On a day more akin to cricket rather than football and after The Red Army being battered by Fleet Town 6-0 in their previous match both teams were looking to bounce back quickly. The early exchanges were a little lacklustre with no urgency from either side, on 20 minutes Macca was called into action, not for the last time parrying an excellent shot which was not followed up by the on-rushing striker. The first half ended 0-0. Straight from the kick off a long ball over the top found an onrushing Mole who looped the ball over Macca for the first of the game, five minutes later Man of the Match McCarthy made an excellent save from a point blank headed cross, five minutes later we were 2-0 down after another cross was not dealt with from a set play. Against the run of play Dylan Kearney slotted home a through ball with Aylesbury restoring their 2 goal lead 4 minutes later from a free kick. With the clock ticking down to 90 minutes Kearney rounded two defenders beating an on-rushing goalkeeper for his second of the match. With four minutes of added time and Uxbridge in the ascendance The Moles defended deeper allowing The Red Army to finish on a high. The match ended with The Moles securing their second league win after beating Marlow in their previous match. We hope you all enjoy the day.

Moles Deny Ducks Merger Rumours
Evo-Stik League South East club Aylesbury FC have moved to quash rumours of a merger or groundshare arrangement with league rivals and neighbours Aylesbury United.
The Ducks are currently playing at Evo-Stik League South Premier outfit Chesham United`s ground at The Meadow, but the Moles issued the following statement in light of recent speculation regarding a possible groundshare at Haywood Way or merger between the two clubs: “A preliminary meeting did take place between officials of both clubs regarding a possible groundshare and any further steps.
“Following this meeting the committee of Aylesbury FC took the decision that we would not take these discussions any further.
“As a committee it is our duty to do what we consider is in the best interests of the club, and on this occasion, it was our decision that it would not be beneficial to the club to enter into a groundshare or anything else, the primary consideration being the under-18s which we would
2
have had to discard.
“As a committee it is our job to explore every opportunity to ensure the progression of the club and in this case, we do not believe that this option would help the club achieve its targets, now or in the foreseeable future”.
Diamonds & Beaconsfield March On At The Top
The Evo-Stik League South East got off lightly as far as the weather was concerned on Saturday, with only the games at Northwood and Thame United falling foul of waterlogged pitches.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds maintained their three-point advantage at the summit after a hard-fought 2-1 win at bottom side Arlesey Town.
Joel Gyasi gave Diamonds the lead 5 minutes before the break.
But the basement club levelled things through Henry Musay 7 minutes into the second half.
But a Ben Farrell penalty just past the hour-mark secured victory for the visitors, who are now sixteen league matches unbeaten.
3
Beaconsfield Town maintained their title challenge with another tougher-than-anticipated 3-2 win at second-bottom Barton Rovers.
Rovers led through Sam Oyeniran`s 38th minute opener which Callum Webb cancelled out 5 minutes later.
Five minutes after half-time, Tre Mitford put the visitors ahead, only for Andrew Phillips to pull last season`s play-off finalists back on level terms 4 minutes later.
Bajram Pashaj won it for Beaconsfield 18 minutes from time.
The gap between the top two and the play-off places is five points, with AFC Dunstable, who didn`t play on Saturday, Hayes & Yeading United, Chalfont St Peter and Cambridge City currently occupying the other top six spots.
Hayes & Yeading were comfortable 4-0 home winners over Bedford Town, with Duncan Culley from the penalty spot and Manny Duku giving them a 2-0 interval lead, and Scott Donnelly and Ismael Ehui adding two more in the second half.
Chalfont`s seven-game unbeaten run came to an end at home to Moneyfields, who are eighth but six points adrift of the play-off spots now.
Remmel Clarke gave the Saints the boost of an early 6th minute lead, but they couldn`t capitalise, and a Dan Wooden brace in the 56th and 62nd minutes won it for the Hampshire side.
4
Cambridge City triumphed 2-1 at the Runnymede Stadium against Egham Town, with James Hall and Jordan Williams scoring for City within 2 minutes of each other in the opening half, and Brendan Matthew replying on the hour-mark.
Hartley Wintney are just a point behind the top six but didn`t play on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Sonny French scored the only goal of the game right on half-time to seal Aylesbury United`s win at Calthorpe Park against Fleet Town, while Luke Heneghan bagged a brace in a minute midway through the second half in Kempston Rovers` 2-1 win against Marlow at Hillgrounds – Junaid Bell having given the visitors a 28th minute lead.
And the game between Aylesbury FC and Ashford Town (Middx) finished 2-2 in which Brian Haule twice gave the Moles the lead which Jack Beadle and Samad Kazi cancelled out.
Aylesbury were reduced to ten-men just on the half-time break when Ty Deacon appeared to throw an Ashford player to the ground.
