Fall Retreat in the MountainsMonday afternoon through Thursday morning, October 13–16, 2014
Kanuga Conference Center, Hendersonville, NC
This year, we will once again gather at the beautiful Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville for our OLLI Fall Retreat.
Come and enjoy excellent speakers and performers, visit the many local attractions, and, above all, join in the fun and fellowship with other OLLI members
in a beautiful setting away from the Triangle.
Keep your eye out for more details in the months to come.
Opening ConvocationSunday, September 7, 2014, 2:00–4:00pm
Judea Reform Congregation
OLLI at Duke is pleased to announce that the speaker for this year’s Opening Convocation is world-renowned researcher and speaker DR. DAN ARIELY,
the James B. Duke Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Economics at Duke University and author of the New York Times bestsellers
Predictably Irrational: The Upside of Irrationality and The Honest Truth About Dishonesty.
As one writer has said, “[Dan] Ariely makes a living by finding offbeat, counterintuitive, research-based solutions to problems.” Insightful and always entertaining,
Dan’s TEDTalks lectures have been watched nearly 5 million times.
Before the convocation, OLLI members will have the opportunity to participate in Dr. Ariely’s groundbreaking research. Immediately following the convocation, there will be a reception.
