“When Poppin launched our complete Furniture Collection, we immediately turned to Metropolis as an advertising partner and have been running full page print ads with them ever since. Whether we’re discussing print advertising, custom Showroom Events, or other opportunities, we know the team at Metropolis understands our brand and is equally committed to our ongoing partnership. ”
“Design Within Reach is proud to be a longtime partner of Metropolis. The relationships we’ve built with the individuals behind the pages – Susan Szenasy, Avi Rajagopal, Tamara Stout – keep us coming back year after year and continue to evolve as our needs grow. Equally as amazing as the people is the content. It’s smart and informative and passionately reports on the industry from both a local and global level.”
“The professionals at Metropolis care about doing their part to help us succeed. They listen to us, they provide recommendations but ultimately, together through our partnership, we come to a solution and engage in experiences that provide value to both organizations, while enjoying the process along the way. They truly partner with their clients and make the entire experience one that not only provides benefit, but offers the best in class experience.”
“Metropolis continues as the design journal of intellectual criticism and debate so important during this time of continuous flux. I believe the opinions of Susan Szenasy and Avinash Rajagopal and the writings of the editors are the foundations of the journal’s continuing dialog on design.”

“We have run quite a few campaigns for our clients in Metropolis. In each case, they have seen excellent results; sales representatives have been contacted because of our advertisements in the publication, web activity has increased and RAM results show that company recognition rises with each placement. Due to these results, we have increased both the print presence as well adding integrated digital programs. The sales staff at Metropolis is a joy to work with - each client is given individualized care and attention. The publication itself has evolved over the years into one of the top titles in the category.”
“In today’s competitive market for office tenants, challenged by the Internet, home offices, and downsizing, the successful developer must look to innovative new space usage concepts and exciting design. Metropolis has consistently been our “go to “ reference source to help us meet these challenges and offer our clients exciting new ideas for their leasing needs.”
“I had the distinct pleasure of serving on the very first editorial board of Metropolis in 1981, at the invitation of Sharon Lee Ryder and Horace Havemeyer III. In the ensuing decades, the publication has become my window to the future, where all things design are discussed with intense curiosity and in a smart, thoughtful, and relevant manner. I enjoy seeing new thinking and new talent, always with its signature graphic magic. Metropolis is stolen from my desk by the young architects in our firm more than any other publication, by far! I’m grateful to Lee and Horace for cluing me in to this worthwhile venture at its inception, and to Eugenie Havemeyer, Susan Szenasy and Avinash Rajagopal for continuing to expand my design world.”

Multifamily, high-rise, and mixed use residential developments are now a new frontier of innovation for architects and designers in every city in North America.
Metropolis recognizes this rapidly changing sector with a new column called LIVING, which will showcase the most innovative multifamily and mixed-use residential projects across the United States and Canada.
LIVING will recognize key elements including:• Structural and facade innovation • Building performance (energy, sustainability, technology) • Kitchens and baths (high end, high performing fixtures) • Innovative technology in the home • Amenity spaces (pool decks, gyms, communal kitchens)• Outdoor areas (decks, landscaping)• Retail and Hospitality elements, where applicable
Every project will be accompanied by a list of products and finishes specified in that project. This includes furniture, lighting, textiles, surfaces, and kitchen and bath fixtures.
LIVING will appear in four issues in 2020: April, May, September, and October.
