Halloween, comes from the early name for Nov 1st, All Saints Day. This holyday remembers the Saints that are not honoured with a Feast Day. In the Celtic tradition Oíche Shamhna, was one of their four sacred feasts, remember-ing spirits of the dead. Our dead are part of the Commun-ion of Saints and in November we particularly remember them.
Altar Servers Appreciation This weekend we would like to show our appreciation to all our Altar Servers in Sixmilebridge and Kilmurry. We thank them for their Dedicated Leadership and Service in this Parish especially those who have been with us for the last couple of years and who have now left. Over the next few weeks we will have new servers beginning their journey with us. We welcome all the new Altar Servers this year and ask God to Bless them in their Ministry.
