STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: To extendtheir civic action programmeto the most deserving andunderprivileged students liv-ing in far-off areas, 33Battalion CRPF sends 15students belonging to BelowPoverty Line (BPL) familiesof Bhadarwah to 'BharatDarshan' Tour on Tuesday.

The ten day tour with thetheme 'from mountains tosea' was flagged off byPrabhat Chandra Jha DIG

CRPF along with Col D DPandey CO 4RR, ASPBhadarwah Rajinder Singhand CEO BDA RajinderKumar Khajuria from com-munity hall Kotli.

Speaking on the occasion,A Padama Kumar CO CRPF33 Battalion said that thetour under civic action pro-gramme is primarily aimedat to give exposure to themost deserving but underprivelaged students living inmountains and for the pur-

pose 15 students belongingto BPL families were drawnfrom different villages ofBhadarwah valley.

"These students have nevergone beyond Jammu andsome of them are even mov-ing first time outsideBhadarwah. For these stu-dents, it's like a dream cometrue to move beyond hills tothe coasts ofVisakhapatnam," PadmaKumar added.

After flagging off, whilespeaking to reporters, DIGCRPF, Prabhat ChandraJha said thatVisakhapatnam is the largestnavy yard and our motive totake these underprivilegedstudents there and otherplaces including Delhi is toexpose them the developmentIndia has made and also letthem understand differentcultures, so that they canalso feel an urge to competeand reach there to be a partof developed India.

Lamenting on such a cal-lous approach she said thatthe authorities have usedthe land of Pir Panjaalregion for supply lines ofthis project, but the regionhas completely beendeprived of the grid andLILO facility which is veryunfortunate. She apprised

that issue regarding con-sideration was raised manya times in state legislativecouncil, state government,administrative secretary,then state power ministerand also stands discussedby the delegation of PirPanjaal legislators with thePrime Minister some twoyears back at New Delhi.Whereas after the assur-ance in the council and thedelegation by the PrimeMinister nothing has beendone in this regard so farand now the project hasstarted working. Formercouncil member said thatthis clearly shows the stepmotherly treatment by thegovernments with thisregion.

She has appealed toGovernor to review thisdemand of Pir Panjaal pub-lic and write to center gov-ernment for provision of agrid and LILO facility inthis region.

Hardcore criminal detained under PSASTATE TIMES NEWS

SAMBA: A hardcore criminal was detained under the strin-gent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Samba district on Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Mohammad Irshad aliasShadu Son of Mohammad Saleem resident of Ward No 6 TelliBasti Bari Brahmana.

According to a report, in order to curtail the activities ofhardcore criminal namely Mohd Irshad who was involved innumber of criminal activities and is a great threat to the lifeand liberty of the people of District Samba particularly BariBrahmana area, a special team of Police Station BariBrahmana headed by Inspr. Darshan Singh, SHO under theoverall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba andunder the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmanaarrested the said accused.

The accused was involved in a number of heinous cases reg-istered against him at Police Station BariBrahmana/Vijaypur and in District Jammu which includeFIR No 98/2010 under Sections 458/336/323/34 RPC ofBari Brahmana; FIR No. 67/2012 under Sections341/382/323 RPC of Bari Brahmana; FIR No. 135/2012under Sections 452/323/147/148 RPC of Vijaypur; FIR No.27/2013 under Sections 307/452/323/34 RPC, 4/25/30 ArmsAct of Bari Brahmana; FIR No. 122/2015 under Sections452/354 RPC of Bari Brahmana; FIR No. 51/2016 underSections 376/342/323/RPC of Channi Himmat, Jammu;FIR No. 186/2017 under Sections 452/323/34 RPC of BariBrahmana; FIR No. 23/2018 under Sections 454/380 RPCof PS Bahu Fort, Jammu and FIR No. 128/2018 underSection 4/25 Arms Act of Bari Brahmana.

The warrant of arrest under detention in PSA issued byDM Samba against the accused namely Mohd Irshad. Theaccused was absconding and was evading his arrest since theissuance of his warrant.

STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: An in-servicetraining programme wasorganised by KVK-Rajouriunder the aegis ofDirectorate of Extension,SKUAST-Jammu for offi-cers and extension func-tionaries of Department ofAgriculture, Rajouri, where-in officers from differentblocks of district Rajouri par-ticipated.

The programme was coor-dinated by Dr. VishalSharma, Scientist(Agronomy) wherein Dr.Arvind Kumar Ishar, Sr.Scientist & Head, KVK,Rajouri presided over theprogramme. YounisChoudhary, Chief

Agriculuture Officer ,Rajouri was Special Guestduring the programme.

The main purpose of organ-inzing the training pro-gramme was to aware theextension functionaries

about "Seed Production ofRabi Crops" and also to sup-plement the knowledge ofextension officers about seedproduction of Rabi seasoncrops especially of wheat andoats so that they can take it

to farmer's field for their wel-fare. Dr. Vishal gave adetailed presentation on seedproduction of Rabi crops. Dr.Arvind K. Ishar gave adetailed introduction ofKVK-Rajouri and discussedabout the problems faced byfarmers of the Rajouri inseed production.

At the end of the trainingprogramme discussionamong scientists of KVK-Rajouri and departmentalofficers was held where in Dr.Suraj Parkash (Scientist,Agril. Extension), Dr. AbhayK. Sinha (Scientist, Agri.Engineering) actively partici-pated. The programmeended with vote of thanks byDr. A.K. Sinha.

In a case at Traumas HealthCentre Ghagwal in DistrictSamba, paramedical staff ofthe said hospital gave wrongblood report to the pregnantwomen whose last month wasrunning.

According to the sources, apregnant woman went to saidhospital to get her check up andgave blood sample in the labo-ratory for blood group. Aftercollecting reports from the lab-oratory she noticed that para-medical staff of the said hospi-tal her report with A- blood

group while she was of cognitiveA + blood group. After newsspreads, dozens of people wentin Ghagwal Hospital anddemanded rechecked the bloodgroup and which later reportedA + from an privateLaboratory.

Irked over ill-functioning ofhospital staff people staged aprotest against the doctors andparamedical staff. They allegedthat neither entire staff of thedoctors is there nor any facili-ties is available to the patients.Talking with State TimesCorrespondent , the husband ofthe woman said that the bloodreport was wrong, as well as thewoman's name was also wrong-ly written in the report.

During checking teamChallaned 168 vehicles outwhich 62 vehicles were com-

pounded on the spot for vio-lation of MVD rules.
