Can’t adopt or foster, but still want to help get
pets out of the shelter and into a loving home?
You can sponsor any of our available pets to help reduce
their adoption fees. You may come to the shelter and se-
lect a dog or cat to sponsor or select one from the website
above. You may also request that your sponsorship go
towards one of our pets that has been here the longest.
Some of the ones needing sponsorship can also be found
on the back of this newsletter. Pets can be sponsored at
any amount, a full sponsorships is $85. You may call to
make your sponsorship donation with a card or send a
check with sponsorship details to the above address.

*** Share the Love Bake Sale***
If you love to bake, we need your baked goods for
the bake sale to benefit the shelter animals. The
bake sale will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at the
Florence-Lauderdale Government Building at 102 S.
Court Street from 8 am– 3 pm. We welcome baked
goods and volunteers to help with the event. Baked
Goods can be brought to the shelter on Thursday
February 8 before 5:00 pm or dropped off at the
Government Building the morning of February 9.

Starting March 2018 First Fridays- Come experience the artistic
talent of the Shoals in downtown Florence at First Fridays! Did you
know the shelter pets love to go to First Fridays as much as you?
Please keep a look out for them, they will be available for adoption at
special discounted rates! Every First Friday of the month from March
-Dec. Hours are 5-8pm.
*** All dogs adopted at the FLAS will have a negative heart-
worm test and cats will be negative for FIV/leukemia. Both
dogs and cats are up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and if
not spayed and neutered at the time of adoption a voucher
will be provided.
