The Certification
Prior to attempting an EC-Council
exam, candidates are required to
agree to EC-Council Candidate
Certification Agreement terms, EC-
Council Candidate Application
Agreement terms and the EC-
Council Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Candidates should not attempt the
exam unless they have read,
understood and accepted the terms
and conditions in full. By attempting
the exam, the candidates signify the
acceptance of the EC-Council
Candidate Certification Agreement
terms. In the event that the
candidate does not accept the
terms of the agreement, he/she is
not authorised by EC-Council to
attempt any of its certification

Q. What is the pass mark for CEH?
• The pass mark for the CEH is 70%
Q. What are the details of the ECSA V9 exam?
• Prior to being able to sit the ECSA exam, you must conduct a detailed penetration test through the EC-Council Cyber
Range iLabs environment. Should you successfully complete this stage, you will then submit a written report that will
be graded by EC-Council. Our instructors will take you through the core concepts of conducting a penetration test
based on EC-Councils penetration testing methodology and demonstrate a proven report writing process. You have 30
days from activation of your iLabs (day one of the course) to complete the penetration testing activities and
then a further 30 days to submit your report
• Exams are not taken at the conclusion of the course. Candidates that submit penetration testing reports to the
required standards will be provided with exam vouchers for the multiple choice exam. Exam candidates are required to
book into the EC-Council Exam Test Centre to take the exam after successful completion of the penetration test report.
• The multiple choice exam requires a pass mark of 70%.
• The exam comprises 150 multiple choice questions and the duration is 4 hours

FAQQ. What is the format of the LPT exam?
• To successfully pass the LPT (Master) practical, you must fully document your pen test in a complete, professional penetration
test report. This report will follow formats learned in the ECSA program, following industry acceptable, penetration testing
and reporting procedures. This report will be reviewed and scored based on a complex rubric by other penetration testing
professionals. There is no course for the LPT (Master) exam. The Licensed Penetration Tester (Master) certification Exam is the
final step after the intense training and certification that you would have received in the Certified Ethical Hacker and the EC-
Council Certified Security Analyst programs.
• The exam environment simulates a complex network of a multi-national organization in real time. The exam is accessed
through iLabs.
Q. How do I register for the LPT exam?

• Purchase LPT Exam Kit via EC-Council online store
• The exam kit consists of :
o iLabs Cyber Range Access Code (applicants are given a 5 day block access from activation date / code is valid for 3
months from the date of release)
o Aspen LPT (Master) Dashboard Access Code (applicants have a 30 day window to submit their reports from activation
date/code is valid for 3 months from the date)
o A 2 year LPT (Master) License is included in the LPT (Master) Exam Kit valid for 2 year license / subject to ECE and
renewal requirements)
