TIPLA CONFERENCE FACULTYMartha Allard is an attorney with the firm of Bass Berry & Sims in Nashville, Tennessee. Martha’s practice focuses on Intellectual Property and Technology Practice. She has more than 10 years of experience counseling clients in all aspects of intellectual property law. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Western New England College School of Law. Martha also has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.

Wayne Beavers is an attorney with the firm of Waddey & Patterson, P.C. in Nash-ville, Tennessee. Wayne’s practice focuses on patent prosecution and conducting patent freedom to operate and/or infringement reviews for many of the firm’s clients as they develop and introduce new products to the market, or as they conduct due diligence during the acquisition of new businesses. Wayne has a degree in mechanical en gineering from Oklahoma State University, as well as a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Wayne also received an MBA from Vander-bilt University.

Jeff Blake is a partner in the Atlanta office of Merchant & Gould, where his prac-tice involves all aspects of intellectual property litigation and counseling. Jeff’s experience includes representation of clients in the pharmaceutical and electrical arts at trial and on appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jeff earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Jeff also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Amy Everhart is the founder of the Everhart Law Firm in Nashville, Tennessee. Amy has more than a decade of experience as a lawyer in the areas of trademark, copyright, entertainment, and internet law. Amy earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. She also graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Dakota.

Kevin Hartley is an Associate in the firm of Stites & Harbison, PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Service Group and the Business Litigation Service Group. His practice focuses on patent litigation and business litigation. Kevin has a Political Science Degree, summa cum laude, from The University of Tennessee. He earned his law degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law, magna cum laude.

David Hill is a shareholder at the firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, PC in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He leads the firm’s Intellectual Property Law Practice Group, which handles all types of matters involving patents, trademarks, copy-rights and trade secrets. David has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology. He also earned his law degree from Vander-bilt University Law School.

Andrew Lake is a shareholder at the firm of Pitts & Lake, PC, in Knoxville, Tennes-see, practicing in the area of intellectual property law, including patents, trade-marks, copyrights, trade secrets, and product designs. He received a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from Cleveland State University. Andrew graduated from the University of Akron School of Law and earned an MBA degree from John Carroll University.

Melody McAnally is with the firm of Butler Snow in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a member of the Commercial Litigation Group with emphasis on Complex Commer-cial Litigation, Product Liability Law, and Patent Infringement Litigation. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from University of Mississippi, and earned her law degree, cum laude, from Mississippi College.

Jacob Neu is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Bradley Arant Boult Cummings, LLP in Nashville, Tennessee, with experience in drafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applications with the USPTO and prepar-ing and negotiating IT software and services contracts. Mr. Neu has assisted in multiple patent infringement cases and trademark infringement cases. Jacob graduated magna cum laude from Rice University, and received his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.

James Stover is Co-Founder and Vice President of Business Development for Diagnovus, LLC, in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Stover was previously a Vice Pres-ident of Tennessee Technology Development Corporation. Prior to joining TTDC, Dr. Stover was a life science analyst with Square 1 Bank in San Diego.

I.C. (Jack) Waddey, Jr. is the co-founder and senior attorney with the firm of Waddey & Patterson, P.C. in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Waddey’s technical exper-tise is in the mechanical arts and electro-mechanical technologies, with particular emphasis in road building machinery, automotive equipment, consumer goods, business methods and construction equipment. He is listed as an approved Rule 31 Mediator by the Supreme Court of the State of Tennessee. Jack graduated with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University of Law Center.

Stephen Zralek is an attorney with the firm of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Zralek is an AV-Rated, SuperLawyer, focused on intellectual property, business torts and entertainment disputes. He helps clients resolve and avoid disputes over copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, counterfeit goods, trade secrets, social media, defamation, cybersquatting, domain disputes, rights of publicity, privacy, and computer fraud and abuse. He graduated cum laude from Xavier University, and received his J.D. from the University of Tennes-see College of Law.
