AACHEN POLYMER OPTICS DAYS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCEAPRIL 12 - 13, 2016
PROGRAM
FOREWORDPARTNER
The conference is supportet by: Aachen Polymer Optics Days
As demands to be met by optical products become increasingly
exacting, the optical components used assume greater impor-
tance, reflecting the trend for optical plastics which must be
produced not only cost efficiently but also with ever higher levels
of precision in a continuous process. Complex applications
based on optical systems with ultra-precision microstructures
are attracting enormous interest in a number of sectors such
as medical engineering or automotive manufacturing. In
addition to the classical injection molding processes, roll-to-roll
techniques rank particularly highly among the technologies
of the future.
The Aachen Polymer Optics Days 2016 provide an excellent
networking platform for visitors from industry and research
who are interested in participating in a lively exchange of ideas
and opinions relating to manufacturing options and potential
applications for optical plastic products. Speakers giving
19 specialist lectures will shed more light on the following
four subject areas:
• Injection moulded optics
• Continuousproductionofplanaropticsandfilms
• Innovative optical grade polymers and applications
• Light sources and optical systems
The papers presented by experts in their respective subject
areas will outline the current developments and trends from
a production-oriented point of view, highlighting application-
related aspects.
Seize the opportunity offered by this conference as a
prestigious industry event to swap ideas with other experts!
