Habitat: The origin of habitats

They prefer to live in gardens, orchards, and other places where flowers are abundant
Found throughout the world wherever flowers grow
Build nests inside old, hollow trees

Feeding: For the first 5 or 6 days of it’s life the
honeybee consumes large amounts of pollen to obtain proteins and minerals for growth
Between the 10th and 14th day of it’s life the worker bees main diet is carbohydrates which are gathered in trees and plants
Honey is then made from the nectar Honey is a large part of a bees diet it is
eaten all year round it is easily digestible for the bees

Lifecycle: The lifecycle begins when the
queen lays and egg in the comb It will soon develop into a
female worker but an unfertilized egg will produce a male drone
The egg is hatched 3 days later The worker bees maintain the
colony For the last part of their life
they work to collect food for the queen and build comb cells
They also clean the hive and feed the larvae
