Filter Parameters
Filter parameters allow users to define specific constraints for how each field is filtered within the filter. This tool allows users to filter very specific data within reports and other exported files.

Output Formatting
The Output Formatting editor allows users to control how each field is reported and displayed when exported via the Data Export tool.

Grouping & Aggregation
The Grouping and Aggregation editor allows users to group fields into sections and report specific aggregates/sub-totals for each section.

Saving OptionsTo create a new folder, select the Create
a new Folder button. The Create a new folder editor will appear.
Ad hoc filters can be saved to specific folders created within the Filter Designer tool.

Report Designer
To include Campus fields within a report, select the small icon on the right-hand side of the text format bar.

To insert Campus fields within the report, select the field from the Campus Field Properties editor. The selected field will appear within a dotted blue-lined box in the text field.

To include Campus sub-reports within a report, select the small icon on the right-hand size of the text format bar.
The sub-report will appear within a dotted red-lined box in the text field.

Report BuilderThe Report Builder tool allows users to combine Ad hoc filters with Ad hoc
reports to create specific reports based on filtered student data.
Building a Report
1. Select which Saved Filter(s) to include within the report.
2. Select which Saved Report to include in the report. If the report has a long description entered, this will display under the Saved Reports window. For more information about entering a long description, see the Report Designer page.
3. If more than one Saved Filter is selected, determine how the report will filter data by selecting the Set Operation. For more information about this field, see the Filter Operations section below.
4. Select the Sort Option.
5. Click the Build Report button. The report will appear in a separate window in PDF format.

Report Builder
Union Operation - This operation combines two or more filters by appending one to the other. An example of this would be all Baseball Team members and all 10th grade male students. The following diagram explains this union:
Intersection Operation - This operation is used to find data that one or more filters have in common. An example of this would be all baseball team members who are also 10th grade male students. The following diagram explains this union.
When two or more Saved Filters (Ad hoc filters) are selected on the Report Builder editor, users must determine how Infinite Campus will combine these filters when reporting data. Users must select one of two Set Operations:
