Initial Problem...
Identify a “one-stop shop” product that allowed Millennials and Gen Z to gain and share knowledge around adulthood and becoming more self-sufficient adults (e.g. Investments, Buying a House, Career, etc) However, I observed during user research a more significant problem...
USER RESEARCH & PERSONAS

USER RESEARCHFour user interviews and a survey were conducted to gather information about adulthood.
Questions such as,
● Who/Where do you go to gain knowledge on new subjects?● How would you rank your level of adulthood or "adulting"?● Do you track your goals?● What types of validation do you appreciate? Public or Private?● What are some of your current frustrations around adulthood?

USER INSIGHTHelped determine that the target audience should be toward Gen Z and Millennials between the ages of 18-30. These users live within metropolitan and rural areas and majority use tools (i.e. apps) to help track their personal goals. Although, there’s no real lack of resources needed to fulfill their goals, time is a common restraint.
It’s important to create a simple tool that allows users to organize and track their goals to increase their sense of growth and progress. Additionally, a feature that offers validation or reward for accomplishments is a plus.

It takes a lot of sacrifice and discipline when you’re an adult. I picked three
because I feel like there's so much more I want to accomplish and I'm just getting my
feet wet. - Female Charlotte, NC

I enjoy challenges and that's what adulthood has been for me. A lot of ups and downs but I'm still as motivated as ever. - Male

PROBLEM STATEMENT
HYPOTHESISBy offering the ability to track goals, while providing
encouragement through a merit system, for Gen Z and Millennials, will help focus their time and attention.
We will know this to be true when we see the number of goals completed outway the number of goals defined
and tracking the time in between for completion.
Gen Z and Millennials need a way to manage completion of their goals because they want
to track their growth into adulthood.

POINT SYSTEM & ADULT LEVELS● How are points determined?
○ Point system is based on complexity of tasks. A number of accomplishments will have points predefined within the tool. Users can set a complexity (Low to High) for personal goals. ■ Easy = 3 points■ Medium = 5 points■ Hard = 10 points
○ Users can gain two extra points if goal is completed prior to deadline.
● Can points be taken away?○ A user’s “bank” (point bucket) can
decrease after long idle periods. (Example: After three weeks, 5 points is deducted from back. After five weeks 10 points and so on.)
○ Users can lose two point if goal is not completed prior or on deadline set.
● What can users do with their points?○ In the future, points can be redeemed for online gift
cards. (i.e. 100pts = $15 gift card.)● What are the adult levels and how is it defined?
○ Level 1 - Basic■ < 75 points. Level 1 is defined as a basic adult.
Meaning the bare minimum is being done at all times.○ Level 2 - Average
■ < 150 points. Level 2 is defined as an average adult. There’s nothing wrong with being average, but more can be done.
○ Level 3 - Above Average■ < 215 points. Level 3 is defined as an above
average adult. You’re crushing in some areas, but the balance may not be there yet.
○ Level 4 - Advanced■ < 300 points. Level 4 is defined as an advanced
adult. Rocking the adult life in several areas.○ Level 5 - Boss!
■ < 400 points. Level 5 is defined as a boss adult. What’s better than being a BOSS!
