Adventure Dolphin’s function is to provide Outdoor Activities for the Children & Young People Services across West Berkshire, primarily for the 13-19 year olds, but our extensive programme caters for people of all ages, from 8 – 80. Numerous youth clubs are also run within the Centres and all are identified within the brochure. Please visit our website at: www.adventuredolphin.co.uk
Our extensive range of well maintained outdoor equipment is sufficient to facilitate and service all kinds of outdoor activities and expeditions, from a DofE expedition in a remote wilderness area to a day spent canoeing or team building.
Adventure Dolphin operates to the highest safety standards and is licensed by the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority for kayaking, canoeing, kayak surfing, rock climbing, abseiling, hill walking, mountaineering, gorge scrambling and off road cycling. Adventure Dolphin, Pangbourne (P) is based beside the River Thames at Pangbourne. 2011 is an exciting year for Pangbourne, as the first year in our brand new, purpose built Centre. The building is on the old site by Whitchurch Bridge, a two minute walk from Pangbourne Station. The Centre includes large changing rooms with showers, a training room with an interactive whiteboard, a boathouse and climbing room with 11 top roped panels at a height of 8.5m. The Centre also has a lounge, large hall and a kitchen which are all available to hire. The new building was opened by the Earl of Wessex on 29th September 2010.
Adventure Dolphin, Newbury (N) is based at the Waterside Centre, in the heart of Newbury beside the Kennet & Avon Canal, a two minute walk from the town centre. The Centre consists of a boat house with changing rooms/showers, a theatre/hall with a stage, kitchen and social area and offices and a gym that also houses the climbing wall which has 18 top roped panels at a height of 5m.

Girls Paddling Code: GIRLP2011
We are running a female paddling programme – a chance for girls and ladies to meet other women in canoeing and kayaking and paddle with different people in different settings.
This programme isn’t aiming to replace groups you already paddle with, instead we hope to compliment the paddling you already do (or want to do).
We are planning to run a paddling trip every term, including weir bashes, sea paddling and a Christmas adventure there really is something for everyone. In September we are holding Girls Fest, a watersports weekend away to celebrate the first year of paddling.
Come and join us out on the river (or sea) and meet new people, have fun and a very exciting paddling experience.
Supporting the Canoe England Women and Girls in Paddlesport development, Adventure Dolphin has developed a programme of paddling opportunities for Women and Girls. The programme aims to enhance the opportunities already available to female paddlers at the centre. The programme started successfully in 2010 with 31 female paddlers joining us on the water in Windsor for a festive paddle. Date: 12 Feb Valentine Weir Bash 7 May Ladies Introduction to sea kayaking and Sand Castle Building 10 - 11 Sept Girls Fest 2011
Canoeing and kayaking are: “Assumed risk.” – “water contact sports.” Personal boats & equipment may be used at the discretion of the trip leader.
