This would be led by the Council
It can look ahead without being caught up in the
immediacy of the response
The Community Impact Analysis is the first attempt
to bring together the full picture of how the
community has been affected. This will be a living
document, updated several times.
This is a formal handover of leadership from the
Police to the Council based on set criteria. The
Council chair the Recovery Management Group.
A generic recovery management structure is a
starting point but can be adapted according to
need.
Consultation and outreach should be an ongoing
process, and not a one-off event. The more
community ownership of the recovery strategy, the
greater the likelihood of success.
Each grouping or theme should produce an
action plan setting out the steps they will
take to deliver their component of the
strategy.
Delivery should be monitored by
the Recovery Management Group
Members, funders and the
public will expect evidence
that outcomes have been
achieved.
An effective strategy will reflect community priorities
and needs, and be realistic about resources and
timescales. The delivery structure may change to
suit the strategy.
