That was a nasty cold streak last week but I guess it is still winter…thankfully mother nature has decided to be friendlier this week with milder temps. We are always dreaming of springtime and some spring and summer yarns are already in stock with more arriving this week. Shibui yarns, my favorite warm weather choice has another new yarn release this season called Rain…it’s a tubular cotton in dk weight and will make the most delicious garments, wraps, cowls & scarves. Our new Shibui and restock of other Shibui favorites arrives on Wednesday, come check it out. Since we are talking spring it’s time for me to mention the annual Shop Hop that we participate in Thurs. - Sun., April 7-10…this year there are 15 participating shops. Check out the website with all the details at www.minnesotayarnshophop.com and stay tuned here as I will remind you of the highlights…the most important being the food drive.

Callen turned one last Friday and as I say often, “my oh my time sure does fly.” This is a very lucky month for me as the grand boys and their parents too arrive

here on Friday for a weekend in Minnesota. We will be spending time with great grandparents, aunts, uncles and lots and lots of cousins…and on Sunday just the adults are going to the Blackhawks vs Wild outdoor stadium hockey game. I was hoping for snow this week so Nolan could go sliding but our local “Knox Hill” is looking pretty bare.

There is still room in the Wine & Cheese Night this coming Friday night from (5-8)…call the shop if you want a spot.

pattern and whipped up this hat upon the request of a

class friend using Cascade super wash 128. This is a

free pattern available at the shop with a Ravelry link

soon to be set up. Just enter the name Heidi’s Hat.
