Analysis of audienceresearch
I sent my survey to some people in my family and some people in my class so these results show a range of age
groups have answered my survey. The majority of people that took my survey were teenagers, that is my target
audience for my magazine.
These results show that a good amount of people who answered my survey are male and a good amount are
female. My magazine will be targeted at both male and female teenagers.
80% of my results read magazines, some more than others.Leaving 20% not reading magazines often. This shows magazinesare quite popular and a lot of people read them. 50% of the people I asked read magazines a lot.
This shows that half of the people that took mySurvey would pay over £4 for a magazine. From this researchI will consider making my magazine around that price range.
The magazine genre I will be using is rock. My research shows only 30% of the 10 people that
took my survey listen to rock music.
Again, only 30% of people liked the article I was planning to use. Due to these results, I will consider changing it to suit a
larger audience. However the 30% of people that are interested in rock might be the people that want the news of
artists/bands.
The results for this question show the majority of people who took my survey likes to read something other than the articles I
am going to do. However, 30% of the people who took my survey are interested in the articles I am going to do and therefore I will stick with my idea. Reviews received 10% so I will include a small
subheading on the front cover about a review.
